Pearl Swirl

The Pearl Passion line from California Exotics isn't going to be the most amazing product in your collection, but they are well prices and made well. The Tempt has strong and steady patterns and a nicely ribbed shaft for stimulation the vaginal opening. It's easy to handle and operate too!
$, Well made, Material, Powerful bullet in head, Nice shape, Texture, Low smell
Buzzy, Only two speeds, A little petite

extremely useful review

The Pearl Passion line by California Exotics has some very affordable and well made toys for all sorts of users. This vibrator has two vibrations settings, flex, a great material, and is super easy to use solo or with a partner. It's also fairly quiet and is waterproof too. I really like the ridges for vaginal use and the vibrations work clitorally. Too bad it doesn't have a flared base for anal! It would feel great that way. For the price, this is an excellent choice. It's not the largest of strongest vibrator out there, but it is well made, and I don't have much bad to say about it.

Material / Texture

The Pearl Passion Tempt is made of TPR and abs plastic. The TPR used for this toy is awesome and plush but still firm for the texture! It doesn't even feel that much like TPR because it isn't at all sticky and has less of a smell than even some silicone toys. The TPR material is a vibrant and fun purple, which I rather like. TPR and plastic are hypo-allergenic materials that are free of latex and phthalates. The TPR is somewhat porous so using a condom is a good idea for sharing and for use solo too. It will also prolong the life of the TPR. It does have some drag, so lubricant is probably required. This also means that it picks up lint and other stuff, so rinse it before use.

Design / Shape / Size

The Pearl Passion Tempt is a medium sized vibrator, perhaps a bit on the smaller side. The most notable feature is the thick swirled texture going down most of the shaft. This is what turned me onto the toy in the first place. It is 6 5/8" in total length. Sadly, the bottom plastic part takes up a bit too much space than I think it needs to this reduces the insertable length by quite a bit making only 4 1/4" of the toy insertable, in theory. I guess you can go back the TPR area and onto the plastic, but I personally don't want to do this.

The thickness is mostly uniform. It's a bit thicker towards the top where there is a slight bell without the swirl ribbed texture. The tip is pointy, but it is not at all uncomfortable during use since it has plenty of give. The bell area is 1 1/8" in diameter and 3 1/2" in circumference. Right below that it thins out a bit before the swirling ribs. The thinner area is 1". The swirls create a very deep and luscious texture. They are 3/8" long each and go down the rest of the toy. The thickness here is only a smidgen thinner than the bulb at the top.

The base is sort of futuristic looking because of the silver color. It locks into the rest of the vibrator and only needs a little bit of a twist to come off. Then only a single AA battery is needed! I love that! Seriously, with the amount of toys I have, batteries easily get lost and forgotten in toys after use. They disappear quickly! There is a single white button that controls the power. It's easy to push.

This toy is not discreet because its purpose is pretty obvious. I don't think it's hard to hide though. It's not very big.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Like I said, this toy is very easy to use. The single button to operate it is wonderful for those new to toys or those who use their toys with a partner. Pressing it once will turn on the first level of vibration.

1. The first level of vibration is steady and buzzy, but the TPR plush material makes it so it is still delightful to use. The bullet for this vibrator is located in the bulb at the top, so naturally this is where the vibrations are strongest. They do travel down the shaft, though. The noise level is fairly low and cannot be heard through a door. The vibration level is average. It's probably enough for most, especially when used clitorally and not internally. It's more than enough for me.

2. The second level is a large jump from the first. I'd consider this a high level. It is still buzzy and might be able to be heard through a door at this point. The vibrations are a bit too much for my clitorally, but are wonderful internally.

This toy is waterproof and it works great in the shower and tub with on problems.
    • Easy to use
    • Multiple settings

Care and Maintenance

Care for the Tempt is easy. It can be used with any kind of lubricant. I used a silicone lubricant and it worked well. To clean, use warm water and anti-bacterial soap. It does retain smells so be mindful of that when you choose your soap. It can also be cleaned with a toy spray or wipe. Just pay extra attention to the swirled ribs. Remove the battery and allow it to dry before storage. If storing without the package, do not allow it to touch other similar materials. They may melt.

    • Easy to store

The Tempt comes in a simple plastic package. The toy can be seen through through it. The front has a few brief statements about the toy. Thankfully, California Exotics has spared us from putting a stupid girl on their packaging. None appears. The packaging is only minimally informative, but does include a generic little bi-fold with battery info. It's good for storage, but is not discreet.

Teh Pearl Passion Tempt is one of those no-fuss, big reaction kind of vibrators. It's small enough to be easy to use during sex and doesn't get in the way and is also great for solo use. My partner likes to use it on me and I also enjoy using the vibrations on him, right at the base of his penis. The ribs can be felt during insertion and are very stimulating when moved fast or slow. The texture is not too intense for those who are sensitive either. I really can't complain about this vibrator. It's a little on the petite side, but that's about it!
Follow-up commentary
I still would recommend this toy, although I got bored with it. The battery life isn't bad and neither is the maintenance. It just isn't big enough for me.

Great review! This toy looks like fun even though it's not high end. Glad to hear it doesn't have an annoyingly overpowering smell to it, I hate that.
