The Key Charms Velvet by Jopen is a multi-speed/multi-pattern waterproof vibrator designed for clitoral stimulation. Because of its compact size, it's probably not long enough to be used for stimulation of the g-spot. Its compact size and the included travel bag make this vibrator very discreet, and it's a perfect travel companion.

The inner bullet vibrator is made out of non-porous, rigid ABS plastic with a polyurethane covering that has a soft, velvety matte texture, and a chromed plastic battery cover. The on/off button is made of highly polished stainless steel. The removable sleeve is also non-porous. It's made of silicone, so it should only be used with water based lubricants, and it also has a soft, velvety matte finish.

The bullet vibrator is 3 1/4 inches in diameter with a simple tubular shape and a round tip. The sleeve is 1 inch in diameter, with an overall length of 3.75 inches, approximately 2.5 inches of which are insertable. The product description lists it as 3.5 inches, but that only leaves about 1/4 inch to hold onto, which seemed a little unrealistic to me. It's completely waterproof, with an o-ring seal around the battery compartment to keep everything watertight. This product doesn't have a flared base, so it shouldn't be used anally. The sleeve is soft, but too thin to add any flexibility to the complete assembly, although the diameter is small enough that it should be comfortable for almost anyone.



The vibrations are plenty powerful, making my fingers tingle slightly after a couple of seconds of contact and producing a nice swelling, energetic pulsating sensation on the pulsed settings. The battery, which is a single AA, had a tendency to vibrate inside the housing when it wasn't being restrained, making a fairly loud buzz. As long as I held the battery end, it went away, and it's fairly quiet when you consider how powerful it is.

This vibrator has five different settings which can be activated by pressing the button sequentially. The first setting is steady full speed. The second is a fast, high-low flutter, the third is a slow high-low pulsing pattern, the fourth pattern is a faster high-low pulse, and the fifth pattern is a complex rhythm of high and lows. A sixth press takes you back to steady full speed, skipping over the off position. To turn the vibrator off, you have to hold the button in for 3 seconds, which might be a little confusing at first, but conveniently allows you to cycle back through without stopping and losing your rhythm.

Although the surface of both the vibrator and the sleeve are a matte finish, they don't pick up fingerprints, which makes cleaning the toy simple. It's waterproof, so you can wash the entire toy with soap and water. Since it's silicone, the sleeve can be boiled to sterilize it, although you should remove the vibrator and wash it by hand since it's not heat resistant.

The toy comes in a sleek, stylish black cardboard box inside an outer sleeve that really adds to the quality of the product, making this a great item to give as a gift. There is a foam insert that holds the toy securely, and it's the only part that's not a paper product. It can be a bit of a pain to get the sleeve over the box, but if you insert the loose flap lid first it goes on easily, and is a nice way to store it.

Not pictured is a black, nylon bag that closes with a drawstring, which can also be used for discreet storage.

When I first turned it on, the vibrations were rather weak; not enough that I thought something was wrong, but weak nonetheless. I pulled the bullet out and in the process of evaluating how loud it was, I touched it to a table, and suddenly it really came to life. I don't know if the brushes in the motor just weren't seated or if it took it a few seconds for the motor to break in, but it definitely increased both speed and intensity. After this, it was surprisingly powerful, and made me wish that it had some lower speed settings as well.

The vibrations were very powerful, and had my partner moaning in no time. The vibrations are focused in the very tip of the device, and the patterned settings were all very stimulating, unique and useful. Some lower speed settings may have been useful, but weren't absolutely necessary.
