Rocket Launch...Fail

I had hoped for much more from this toy as it was advertised as being small, powerful and waterproof. I found out that small was true, but it lacked in power and is definitely not waterproof. It can be good for a quickie get off when needed on the fly, but not as a regular use one for my toy box. I have much more fun toys to play with.

Use

This little pocket rocket is a simple and small vibrator. It is probably best used for the clitoris, labia and perineum. Given the very small size, insertion is not recommended. On that same note, however, this little rocket is great for travel in a purse or glove compartment for some quickie fun.

Material / Texture

This little rocket is made of plastic which makes it non-porous but also not flexible. The whole thing is about 3 inches long. There is no texture to it as it is smooth plastic, but it has three separations of sections tapering down from the dome top to the dial on the bottom. I was only really able to use this as a point stimulator, as the design makes it unsafe to insert, so I used it to stimulate the clit and labia area.

It's an easy little vibe to use, so anyone can use it and there is no real smell or taste to it.
    • No odor

Design / Shape / Size

As you can see in the picture, the rocket has three distinct sections to it. The top portion is 1" in diameter and about 1-3/8 inches long. It is firmly attached to the second section which is about 3/4 inch diameter and about 3/4 inch long. The last section is detachable to insert the batteries, and is about 5/8 inch in diameter and around 3/4 inch long. The whole vibe is around 3 inches long with only about an inch that can be inserted, making this really more of a point stimulation toy.

Due to its small size it is easy to place in a pocket, purse, glove compartment, overnight bag, etc. Good little stimulator for those quickie moments.

I did not particularly like the design of this. Compared to other point stimulators or pocket rockets that I have had or currently own, this one fell way short for many reasons.

1) There is not much versatility in it. The three-section design makes it difficult to use other than the tip, because if you get any secretions on the other areas (where the sections join) it can be more difficult to clean in the cracks.

2) The dial is too easy to turn. The dial goes from "open" to "off" to "on". It is too easy to turn, and as such you can be using it and promptly have it turn off or even come open while trying to maneuver it to the right spot.

3) The little attached cord gets in the way. Unless you have it over your wrist, it just hangs down and become a wet little cord mess. Not a big deal, just an annoying thing I found when using it.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibes on this are very buzzy. It has only one speed in the "on" position, which can be felt throughout the whole vibrator. In this area, the Pocket Rocket Junior also falls short of many others I have had in the following ways:

1) It has one vibration and not an extremely powerful one at that. I tend to be sensitive too and this one barely gives me a clitoral orgasm. It was nice for a start, but took a long time for me to climax from it and that is unusual for me.

2) Very buzzy. Since there is only one vibration and it takes a long time, my hand starts to go numb from the buzzy vibrations, somewhat compounding the ability to keep it going on my clit area to climax.

3) Due to the way the controls are, it is easy to turn off or have it come open during use, which can be a buzz kill (literally). It can also make it harder to clean depending on how far open it gets and where secretions get into it.

The toy is very discreet as far as noise and is not too loud. I don't think you can hear it under the sheets even, unless you listen really closely with no other noises around.

The really bad part? IT IS NOT WATERPROOF! Despite saying so in the product description and in other reviews, this is not made for the water. First of all the package states right on it, "Do not use while bathing or in the shower." Right there indicates that it is not waterproof to me. Of course I did not read the package until AFTER I used it in the shower, but due to this experiment I can honestly say that it cannot be used there.

Secondly, in order to even attempt to try this as waterproof, you have to have the dial in the "on" position only. To elaborate on this, the connection where the battery goes has a little rubbery ring around it to "seal" it when tightened, therefore making the toy waterproof so no water can leak into the toy at the joined area. On this vibe, the rubber ring that makes the seal is only tight in the "on" position. Once you flip that dial to "off" the ring loosens, breaking the watertight seal and allowing water to seep into the battery compartment.

After my shower I opened the vibe fully and discovered that the whole inside was wet. I had to take the battery out and wipe it off and try to clean out the inside battery compartment, and then let it sit out to fully dry. It was then that I went back to the package and read, "Do not use while bathing or in the shower.". Lovely.

Care and Maintenance

Made of plastic, this can be easily cleaned with a toy cleaner, hot water or by wiping with isopropyl alcohol.

As stated above, you need to be careful of the connection areas and make sure that they are well cleaned at the cracks. It would also be good to make sure the battery is out while not in use.

It can be used with water, oil or silicone lubes.

Packaging

The Pocket Rocket Jr. came in a small tough plastic sealed bag, similar to vacuum sealed items. It has the product name on the front and the following information on the back:

"Warning for vibrating products: To avoid injury or aggravation of pre-existing conditions, this product should not be use on swollen or inflamed are or on skin lacerations. Do not use while bathing or in the shower. No medical claims are warranted or implied by the use of this product."

It also has the copyright info on the back as well. Lastly, it has a little separate sticker attached to the back that states, "Must close cap tightly." Just to note; in order to close cap tightly, it would remain in the "on" position.

Experience

This little rocket can be a nice teaser, but I did not find it very stimulating nor exciting. I will probably use this in my car or my little toiletries kit for travel for quickies, but again I have found others that I liked much better than this one.

I got this as a part of the Dandelion sleeve kit and used it both with the sleeve and without. With the sleeve the vibrations were even less stimulating and I hardly felt them at all. I am trying the sleeve on other toys to see the difference, but with this one it did nothing for me.
