Sultry sensations - vibrator kit discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Omakosuri

I was honestly expecting a little more from this kit, but seeing as it is only my vibe + sleeve kit, perhaps I've simply got the wrong idea of them in the first place. It took an awfully long time to get the sleeve onto the vibrator, using a lot of lube and a lot (emphasis: a LOT) of effort between my partner and me. Finally after some work, we managed to force it on. Good thing I only really liked one of the sleeves (the penis-shaped one), because I don't think it's ever coming off. After all that work, I'm pretty sure I simply put the toy away and went with a more trustworthy one for the time being.

But, later on, we picked this toy back up, slapped in some batteries, and tested it out. It's your average jelly sleeve vibe kit, with nothing fancy or really special, unless you've got a thing for the tongue sleeve. Then you might be a little more interested. I simply had fun teasing my partner with the tongue sleeve, flapping it around like some disembodied mutant tongue. Hilarious. But, nevertheless, this toy would be a good start for any newbie wanting to try something a little different than your average bullet vibe or traditional vibrator. Though I must warn, it's a little bigger than I expected (girth-wise), so take caution.

The vibrator itself is your average plastic clear-shafted vibe, nothing fancy. Dial-bottom control. The sleeves are a firm jelly, far firmer than I was expecting, as I enjoy the very soft squishy jellies. They're very well textured, especially the tongue sleeve. It smells pretty strongly of plastic to me, even now, and tastes just as bad (but honestly, what toy doesn't?). I would recommend this toy for those who are somewhat experienced, but still exploring different types of toys, as it's not slim enough to be a beginner's tool, but not hefty enough to be considered something only for 'pros.'

The overall design of this toy is what lured me in, though it lacked the softness that I was hoping it would have. The sleeves are much firmer jelly than expected, and the vibrator itself was thicker than I would have liked. I would have liked it much more if it had been slightly slimmer, softer, and easier to put the sleeves on. As it is right now, the current sleeve is never coming off the vibrator, and the tongue sleeve will be left unused.

As for size, it's a bit too big to easily 'hide,' and so I keep mine tucked in a drawer in my closet. The box does not offer good storage, as once a sleeve is put on, the toy is then too long to fit back into the box. It's best stored in a lint-free storage bag or box by itself. I wouldn't bother traveling with this, as I would be too afraid it would be seen.

Like all standard vibrators, the vibrations through the shaft were relatively centered and even, though lacking the punch I look for in toys. I would recommend it for younger users and couples looking to explore gently through the world of sex toys, but it is not a suitable choice as a first vibrator. It features the standard dial-base control, and average levels of intensity. This toy is a little noisy, however, so you may want to wait until the evening, or until you have the house to yourself to experiment without worry. As this toy is not waterproof, do not use it near water.

Also, have lots of lube handy (and maybe a strong friend) to help you put the sleeves onto the vibrator. This is a very hard step, and requires a bit of time and patience.

I have many other easier to clean toys in my collection, so I prefer them over this toy when it comes to handling clean-up. The sleeves are textured well, which leaves lots of nooks and crannies for gross things to collect in. A good rinse with soap and water is recommended. Be careful cleaning it, however, if you leave the sleeve on the vibrator as I have. Pop the batteries out before you suds it up, and lay it out to dry with the cap off to make sure no water gets trapped inside. It's fairly easy for water and lubricant to become trapped between the sleeve and the vibrator, so be a little cautious about that. As with all my toys, I only use water based lubricants for safety.

The box this toy came in was crap, plain and simple. A basic thin cardboard box, printed with less information than most toys I've bought. The toys are inside in plastic sleeves, and nothing can be reused about it. The toys hardly fit into the box in the first place. I simply recycled mine when I got it.
