Couture collection Cyclone - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Mr. E

So I know you may be wondering, why is Mr. E reviewing this pretty, girly pink vibrator designed and marketed for G-spot stimulation? Well, that's a good question, and the short answer is simply that I like to keep my lady happy!

I was interested in this vibrator for my wife because it was very similar in size and functions to the Passion G, another Cal Exotics vibrator that my wife thoroughly enjoys. She was so thrilled with that one that we were very excited to try The Couture Collection Cyclone to see how it compared. Since this one is a more expensive toy, we figured maybe it would be even nicer than the Passion G. Or were we expecting too much? Would the Cyclone live up to our expectations?

The box boasts that the Cyclone is made from Japanese medical grade silicone; however, it is manufactured in China and sold by California Exotics, so maybe I need a map to figure this out. The Couture Collection Cyclone arrived in a box that really is not suitable for storage. It was a little odd that there was a view window under a flap on the box, but the vibrator was wrapped in an opaque package so you could not see the toy in the view window. The vibe had no odor whatsoever when we took it out of the box. It’s a pretty pink toy with textured ridges along the length of the vibrator that resemble stems of a flower. It has seven functions for vibration, pulsation, and escalation. It measures 9 ½” in total length with 6 ¼” insertable, from the tip to the start of the battery compartment, and a girth of 1 ½“. The curved end is intended for G-spot stimulation. My wife found the velvety soft texture and flexibility of the vibrator very pleasing. The material picks up any bit of lint. We do not have pets, but I imagine it would pick up pet hairs, too. I love the warning on the box that it is for external use only. Really…external use only???

It should be noted that the E-Z Load battery compartment is not easy at all; it was very difficult to open. Instead of a simple twist off cap, this one is the type that you have to push and slide open. If any lube gets on it, it can be too slippery to open. Although the box states that the Cyclone is waterproof, we did not get a chance to test it in the water. While the battery compartment lid does have an o-ring, the design of it does not instill confidence that it is completely waterproof. Since it is silicone, water based lubricant should be used.

Care and Maintenance

Since it has electronics and a plastic battery compartment, you cannot wash this in the dishwasher or boil it. To clean the Cyclone vibrator, wash with a 10% bleach solution or spray with a toy cleaner. As with anything that takes batteries, I would suggest removing the batteries if the toy is not going to be used for a long time.

When we first opened the box, we were pleased with the velvety smooth silicone. For us, the Cyclone is perfectly sized for insertion; it is big enough to make its presence felt but not so big as to cause discomfort or intimidation. My wife doesn’t typically like textured toys, but she found the textured ridges on the Couture Cyclone to be quite comfortable. There is a slight curve at the tip that is intended for the G-spot, but the shaft was too flexible to really apply firm enough pressure for G-spot orgasms. With this said, though, my wife did like the strong vibrations. The Cyclone has multiple speeds and patterns which are easily changed with the large control button at the base of the toy. While the vibrations were fairly strong, there was a little bit of chatter coming from the battery compartment unless held tightly in her hand.

Our next challenge was to evaluate how well it would stay in place for one of her favorite activities: Liberator rides. We placed the Cyclone in her Liberator Bon Bon as well as in her Liberator Wing. I am pleased to report it stayed in place very nicely in both cushions with only mild shifting, and we didn’t have any problems with it turning off accidentally. She was very pleased, and I especially liked it when she rode the Cyclone while giving me a blowjob. That’s a win-win in my book!

Based on our previous experiences with similar toys, we didn’t really expect the shaft to be rigid enough to provide firm G-spot pressure, so we weren’t disappointed when it didn’t quite hit the mark. The vibrations were strong and varied and reasonably quiet; however, at the higher speed settings, there was a bit of chatter coming from the battery compartment unless held firmly. Overall, we enjoyed the Cyclone and it provided a nice enjoyable experience for us.
