The Small Package Good Things Come In

This is the little vibrator that could! I love how small it is, while still being powerful enough to more than make up for the slippery bullet, which is a little hard to hold onto.

Use

This is one of my first bullet vibrators, and I love it, for the most part. It has a small handheld remote, where the cord attaches, with a sliding control that adjusts the intensity of the vibration. I found it easy to use with one hand while using my other to guide the bullet around my lady bits. The bullet itself is pretty small, only about an inch long, but powerful. When used for clitoral stimulation it feels absolutely delightful, whether you decide to hold it in one place or circle your fun button. I had a partner use it during oral sex, and let's just say it's a great prop for oral.

On the other hand, this is probably not the best toy to use vaginally. The bullet is so small that, even turned all the way up, it just wasn't strong enough to really get me off that way. However, don't let that stop you from experimenting. With the small size, Ashton's Petite Treat can go just about anywhere that feels good. I also tried using it for nipple stimulation, and as part of a full body massage, which both were a success. All in all a fairly versatile toy.

Material / Texture

This small, discreet bullet vibrator is made of plastic. It is smooth to the touch, and mostly transparent, so you can see the inner mechanics. Other than the faintest smell of plastic, it has no odor. Mine happens to be a pretty purple color, but I do think they have others to choose from. The bullet itself is slick and hard, perfect for sliding around whatever area you'd like it to, even without lubrication.

Design / Shape / Size

As a general first impression, I like the way the Petite Treat looks. It's relatively small, and fits easily into the palm of my hand. The controller is shaped almost like a figure eight, and fits even my larger hands comfortably, which is my main problem with using anything that has a remote. Not so, with this one! The small bullet is attached to the remote by a 24" cord, which is about the right length for me, but may differ for other women. I do have a bit of a problem keeping a grip on the bullet since it's so small, especially once I get wet, or once it's lubed up; but I refer back to the comment above when I say that I have large hands, and that might be the problem. Something I think is kind of cool about the toy's design, is that the bullet is clear, so you can actually see the little rotor inside running. I see it as fairly discreet, you'd have to know what you were looking at to figure it out.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Now I don't exactly have an extensive collection of toys to compare with, but I'm pretty sure bullets are meant to be towards the simple end of the vibrator spectrum. The Petite Treat has basically one function. In my opinion, this is a good vibrator for just about anyone to use. Beginners to advanced users, everyone will appreciate the easy controls. Turn the dial up if you want to come so hard you see stars, turn it the other way if you just want a little buzz while you're using another toy.

When I selected this product to review, I saw that some thought it was pretty loud, but I haven't found that to be the case. Sure if you turn it all the way up it does sound like an angry hornet, but at least for me, it was powerful enough that I didn't have to turn it up that high, and thus the noise was reduced. Under the covers, it sounds no louder than a cell phone buzzing, and certainly can't be heard from behind a closed door. I believe it to be fairly discreet.

My only complaint with this otherwise wonderful bullet is how simple it is. Normally it's a good thing, but here it's a double edged sword. If you want to get off quickly with strong vibrations this is your toy, but if you actually want something that pulses or has more than one setting, the Petite Treat is sadly lacking.

Care and Maintenance

This is a pretty simple toy to clean. I generally use condoms over my vibrators just for ease of clean up, but this one is so simple I didn't bother. After a quick rinse in soapy hot water, it was good to go! As a precaution I did unplug the cord from the controller, because the packaging didn't say anything about it being waterproof. The controller itself, you just wipe down with a damp cloth, and it's fine. In the instructions it says to take the batteries out after each use, but I guess that's up to personal preference.

As for storage, this baby is so small it can go anywhere! I keep the cord wrapped around the controller, unplugged of course, then store the whole thing in a drawer of my nightstand.

Packaging

On a small side note, the packaging. Totally not discreet! Why do they always put scantily clad women on toy packages? Anyway, it opens actually really easily, which was a plus for me. I didn't even have to get the scissors! Other than the bullet, controller, and instructions, the package was empty, which I like because there wasn't a lot of advertisements like I've seen fall out of some cases. The instructions are printed pretty small, but they're simple and easy to understand, and printed in like ten different languages.

Follow-up commentary
In my opinion this is still an awesome bullet! For such a small toy it packs alot of punch. I've had two friends ask me where they can get one. My only complaint is about the cord length. It could be a bit longer, but that may have been due to the way I was using it. Good product!
