Along with a bunch of other toys, Black Rose arrived in a plain parcel baggie. It had its own box, shrinkwrapped; a very clean design.


Inside the box, we get the toy, a USB charging cable, and its instruction manual (I provide the manual further down in the review if you need it!).


Right away, I noticed that the Black Rose was different from all the other roses in my possession. The mouth had a thick, almost plush rim. It felt soft against my fingers, and when I pressed against it, there was a pleasant amount of give to it. As someone who pushes these types of toys against myself the closer to cumming I get, I knew this one was going to be wonderful.

First use, the Black Rose flew solo, and just as I'd guessed, the rim did a phenomenal job at protecting the sensitive skin around my clit. As I got closer and closer, I naturally began to press the toy harder against myself, trying to feel more, more, and this time, instead of the subtle, aching pain that sometimes accompanies toys with thin mouths (for example, the Hot Affair (review)), I was able to just let go and thoroughly enjoy what I was feeling without worrying that I'd be sore later.

Using the Black Rose solo is not a bad thing, but it truly shines with the Vibro Tentacle.

Vibrations are awesome. Deep, thuddy, and the Black Rose doesn't feel cheap at all. I have many pressure-wave toys, and the cheap ones feel shallow and "slappy" rather than deep and thuddy. This is one of the better ones. Thankfully, the vibrations don't travel too much into the body, and I can hold it literally the entire time without issue (no numbness).

Solo, the Black Rose is slightly better than average. This is mostly because I can actually press it against myself as hard as I want without risking getting sore - the rim is plush and feels great. However, pairing the toy with something you can use internally (e.g., Vibro Tentacle (review), really makes it out of this world. I hope that more toy manufacturers decide to make this soft rim in the future!
