Triple indulgence - vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by Sammi

The Triple Indulgence vibrator from California Exotics is a pretty (and fun) vaginal and clitoral toy. The tip and top 4” of the shaft is clear, and the bottom portion and base is a lovely vibrant blue. The shaft and clitoral stimulator are made of soft TPR silicone, and have a good feel to them. This also means no unpleasant scent. TPR silicone is a silicone and rubber compound. The Triple Indulgence should be cleaned before and after each use with antibacterial soap and warm water. This toy cannot be sterilized, and only water-based lubes should be used.

This ultra-slim design, with 5” of insertable length has a variety of features. Somewhat contrary to the name, the triple does not refer to stimulation of clitoris, vagina, and anus at the same time, but to the number of motors the toy contains.It has 3 motors, strategically placed, for triple intensity. Apparently it also has a new “secret motor” to stimulate the inner g. I’m not sure if that’s one of the 3 or not. The tip has 13 nubs, and there is another nubbed section (with 19 nubs) farther down the shaft. The clitoral stimulator, which is incredibly flexible, has several nubs on it, as well as three longer nubs on the top. All of the nubs are very soft, so don’t expect hard stimulation with them.

The base has 2 buttons, one for shaft rotation and the other for vibration. The vibration is in the clitoral stimulator. There are 3 shaft rotation speeds, and 7 vibrations (including 4 intensities of vibrations, a roller-coaster vibration that oscillates from low to high and back, a fast pulsation, and what they call a “stair stepper”).. Since each function is controlled separately, there are a lot of different combinations, one of which is sure to tickle your fancy. Instead of an on/off button, you do have to cycle through all of the options to turn the vibrator off.

The Triple Indulgence uses 4AAA batteries, so it packs a fair punch. The base unscrews at the bottom, and the battery case slides out so the batteries can be snapped firmly in place. Guides on each side allow the case to be reinserted correctly. Be careful that you have it turned correctly – the metal on the bottom of the case must contact the metal up inside the compartment. A black plastic O ring sits between the cap and the base, to make the toy waterproof for fun in the shower or bath.

This vibrator comes with a 4 page instruction manual, with each page in a different language. It mainly covers battery insertion and standard warnings, but two of the 11 warnings caught my eye. Number 8 states “When you are finished using your vibrator, allow it to cool down before storing away.” That had me wondering how hot it would get. But the best was number 9 : “Excessive usage of the vibrator will cause wear on the motor and cause the motor to overheat. If this happens and the vibrator seems alarmingly hot, switch it off immediately and allow it to cool down before using again.” Excessive use? Alarmingly hot? Yikes! Maybe it would be best to use it in water.

I tested out the combinations of the toy in my bedroom before taking it into the shower. The shaft squirmed and the clitoral stimulator vibrated, and my husband hollered from the other room, “What’s that noise? Did you get something new?” This is definitely not a quiet or discreet toy! The triple indulgence behaved wonderfully in the water, and felt great. The clit stimulator could be a bit longer, but it is flexible and very movable. While I didn’t have a g-spot orgasm from this toy, it was definitely pleasant, and I helped the clitoral vibrator with my fingers to finally cum. It didn’t get too hot, even though I used it for a good 15 minutes. I tried this out of the shower as well, and it seemed to work fine without any noticeable heating. I’m not sure what the time frame for overuse, but I haven’t hit it yet.

Because of the rotation of the shaft, and the overall build, I didn’t try this one out with my husband, who likes to really thrust toys hard into me. The Triple Indulgence is more for laid-back self-pleasuring. Overall, this is a nice vibrator.

I really like this vibrator. I've ended up using it more out of the water than in the water, and it gets a lot of use. It has held up fine. The batteries last a fairly long time. I've learned not to buy the cheap ones at the Dollar Tree, though - it eats those like candy!

I haven't had any trouble with this overheating, despite the warnings. Typically I have it on for 15-30 minutes, and it gets a little warm but not anything alarming. I do use this sometimes with my husband, although only under my control. It doesn't give me a g-spot orgasm, but nothing does yet so this isn't a negative for me. I like the sensations it provides.

The clit stimulator really could be longer - it's tricky to get it in the right position without a lot of manipulation. That's really the only thing I'd change.
