Ultra Realistic Indeed

I have very mixed feelings about the Sunrise UR3. I can't stand the UR3 portion of the product. If it didn't have a removable sleeve, I would never use it again. It gets gross way too easily to be worth it, BUT The sleeve is removable. And the vibrator underneath left me with no complaints. It's a great vibrator for beginners, but if you can buy the vibrator without the sleeve, I would suggest that.

Use

I'm very honestly still on the fence in regards to the Sunrise UR3. It's sleek and a great color, but I'm having problems with the removable Ultra Realistic sleeve. This is my first experience with Ultra Realistic, and while I liked it right off the bat, the material has lost a lot of its appeal. This particular vibrator was designed for vaginal penetration, although I'm sure that you could insert it into your anus if using enough lube, but only if you remove the sleeve first (be mindful not to 'lose' it). The porous material that the sleeve is made out of would not be ideal for repeated anal use.

The Sunrise UR3 has a decent intensity level for such a small vibrator. It can be used during solo time, or your partner could use it on you. I would definitely recommend this toy for beginners, but more advanced users may find the toy to be too thin or not powerful enough for their liking.

Material / Texture

The first thing that I thought when I took this out of the packaging was "Holy crap!" This material definitely is realistic feeling. It feels like a man's penis. The aroma right out of the plastic wasn't overwhelming. It almost smells like an unscented candle. Another thing I noticed was that after touching the Sunrise vibrator was that it left an oily feeling on your hand/fingers, even after washing it. After using it, I also felt a bit dirty down south because of the oily residue that it left behind. The material is also very giving. Grip it, and you'll leave marks from your fingers behind.

UR3 stands for Ultra Realistic 3.0 which is why it feels like an erect penis. However, the material itself rates a 2 out of 10 on the safety scale. It collects bacteria and lint and needs to be treated carefully to be used long-term. The oily texture that it has seems to attract a lot of lint. If you lay it on any surface, it will pick up absolutely everything. It's one of the biggest turn-offs for me. But on the other hand, the UR3 is a sleeve - it peels right off to reveal a sleek vibrator underneath. I definitely have used it more without the sleeve than with.

The vibrator itself is made out of a smooth plastic, probably a 6 or higher on the safety scale. It doesn't collect lint, doesn't attract hair, washes clean easily. It's great.

Design / Shape / Size

The Sunrise UR3 is a modestly sized toy. It's about 7 1/2" long, and roughly 2" thick, with three parallel ridges around the tip (the ridges themselves remind me of the ridge around the head of a man's penis - there's just three of them instead of one). This size range makes it a great toy for beginners, but maybe not so much for more advanced users. Personally, I thought the length was perfect. I would have enjoyed it a bit more if it were a little thicker, though.

The vibrator itself is incredibly sleek. There are no bumps, no bends, no curves, and no decoration whatsoever. It's a no nonsense, down to earth vibrator. That being said, it is not at all discreet. Every adult looking at it would know that it's a vibrator. There's just no hiding it. However, the fact that it's so thin makes it easy for travel. Just pack it in the corner of your bag and pile stuff on top of it (after removing the sleeve, of course!).

Functions / Performance / Controls

Operating this toy couldn't possibly get any easier. There's a dial located at the very bottom of the toy. Turn it clockwise, the toy turns on. Turn it counterclockwise, it turns off. There are no preset intensity levels, which I love. The further you turn the dial clockwise, the stronger the vibrations become. There are no pulse patterns (which irritate me) and you get exactly what you want.

You want stronger? Make it stronger. Feel like drawing your pleasure out a bit? Turn it down. Whatever you want, you got it. Obviously, the noise level goes up along with the intensity. But even at the highest intensity level, it's not extremely loud. You can very easily smother any sound under a blanket. There's no way it could be heard through a door. I give it 2 out of 5 Bees, even at it's highest level.

Care and Maintenance

Care and maintenance for this toy is a nightmare. Before I even used the toy I was picking lint off of it. I pick lint and hair off of it before using it. I pick lint and hair off of it AFTER using it. Washing it is a hassle. The material is so porous that it's going to grow bacteria if you're not extremely careful, and the sleeve doesn't clean very well even with soap and warm water. I used the whole toy as intended once, then I removed the sleeve. I haven't used the UR3 sleeve itself since then, but I have used the vibrator alone.

The vibrator itself is extremely easy to clean. Soap and warm water or a toy-cleaning spray, you're all done. Storing is no problem, it doesn't collect hair, it isn't porous so it doesn't grow bacteria (as long as you wash it after use). It's really the sleeve that's the problem for me.

Wonderful review, I still have yet to try this material out. It sounds nice but I'm too lazy for the care it requires.

I wouldn't think anal play would be smart with this toy since it doesn't have a flared base. Thanks for the review!

I agree with PropertyofPotter, I would not use this for anal play because of it not having a flared base but also due to the material if you are using it for vaginal play as well. Thanks for a great review
