Fluttering butterfly - rabbit vibrator discontinued by Nasstoys - review by Miss B Haven

This is one of the best dual vibrators I now own! It's amazing and I recommend it to everyone, however I think this is not the best place to start for your first dual toy. The controls are endless and the thickness may be more enjoyed by people upgrading their current dual vibe or advanced users who know how the basics of this type of vibe work and enjoy a full feeling accompanied by a LOT of functionality.

The Fluttering Butterfly is easy to operate despite the hundreds of speed and function combos available. It is fairly large at 10" long with 4 1/2" being insertable and it is a bit thick at 5 1/4" around. It is meant for g-spot stimulation in conjuunction with a clitoral stimulator shaped like a butterfly. I found it to be very good at stimulating both areas with little notice in power-drop when both applications are running. There are nice raised veins that cover the shaft and the butterfly is detailed more on the wings than the body. The antennae also flicker nicley and provide a soft tickle when the vibration is on. I was able to feel all the ridges while the FB was inserted.

You may want to use this toy to warm yourself up before a play session or use it solo and enjoy the many ways it can help you reach big O's. It does get loud on the higher settings so make sure you have music or tv available if you need to be discreet.

The material is split on this toy. Only the base is made of silicone, the majority of it is PVC. It does have a bitter odor when it first comes out of its packaging. After a few uses and a dozen cleanings the smell is pretty much gone, you can only smell it if you have it up to your nose.

The shaft and butterfly are sticky to the touch and has a bit of drag when you run your fingers over it but a little lube fixes that problem. The material will also take on grooves and indents so be careful when storing it. If you keep it in a plastic bag try to keep the plastic around the pvc as straight as you can to keep your toy from deforming.

There are lots of veins on the shaft to give a more realistic look. You can feel them easily when you touch the toy. As far as adding stimulation, I didn't feel them so much when inserted but if you are a little more sensitive during play then you may feel the texture.

The FB is on the thicker side but not overly that it would be uncomfortable. I do think that if you are looking for your first dual vibrator that you may want to look for a thinner model. If you know you enjoy a full feeling then this toy will probably be a great addition for you, beginner or advanced. I also recommend this toy if you have had bad experiences in the past with dual stimulating toys. I really think the butterfly will work for a lot of people.

I absolutely love the design of this toy. There isn't anything major that gives it an edge over competition, it just feels well made and overall each aspect seems to be a little better than the rest.

First the shaft: It is thick, has nice veining and texture giving it a bit more realistic shape, it has good rotation, ten functions and four speeds for a total of fourteen instead of sixteen. The shafts beads are also done better in my opinion. They are stacked in rows of five and each row is attached vertically inside the shaft. I feel like this make the beads truly non-jamming than the free-floating pearls or the beads that connect horizontally.

Then the butterfly: It is the perfect size! I know all women are built different but the size of the butterfly really seems to be universal to me. I have a smaller 'box' area so most toys tend to work for me. From wing tip to wing tip this baby is actually oversized for me, which makes for some really nice feeling that I don't experience often. The body of the butterfly is a little bigger than a real one and it extends over my clit. Add the feelers and I get a tickle where I really don't need one. It does say to me that if you have a more average size area or even a longer one, this may just be a good toy for you...finally. It's functions, again, I only count fourteen all together. Still that's a lot of combinations to play with!

Lastly the base and control panel: built to be truly waterproof! I was scared to submerse my Flutter at first because I love it so much I really didn't want to ruin it. But this is a review and you should all know if butterflies float and yes, yes they do. Well, this one doesn't so much float as it does work in and under water. The o-ring is nice and thick and as long as the cap is on tight your batteries are safe and you get to see what it looks like if butterflies could swim. The vibes underwater are just neat since the wings really do flutter.

The control panel is true to waterproof as well as all the buttons are flush with the pad. You can barely feel them when you run your hand over them and they are more or less a sheet of buttons. Rather than regular buttons that have a gap between them and the base, these look and feel like they are printed on a plastic sheet that is stuck on to the controls underneath.

On a side note, I tagged this toy as both Realistic and Whimsical since the shaft has a more realistic shape and texture to it but the butterfly gives it the whimsy/artsy touch.

The functions of this toy are great. The patterns are so unique that I can only describe the first four:

Lowest - Deep throbbing
Low - Deep buzzing
Medium - Moderate buzzing
High - WOW buzzing (may be too high for some)

The rest of them are really difficult to describe since there can be up to three or four pattern changes on one setting. It is going to be difficult for me to become board with this butterfly and his stem. It took me longer to write this review because there was some much to test on it.

The vibrations are located on the body of the butterfly and extend out to the tips of the wings and antennae. This makes for a nice overall stimulation from the clit to the outer labia. The shaft doesn't vibrate but it does have several rows of rotating beads and a rotating shaft that hits the g-spot with ease.

The conrtols are easy to use despite all the options. There are two button for the shaft speeds and on top of the speed scale is another button to cycle through the shaft functions. You press On to turn the toy on and to increase the speed and press Off to lower the speed until the toy turns off. The clitoral stimulator has the same setup. There unfortunately is no immediate on/off button or shaft rotation-switch button, to turn the toy off you need to back down the speed on both the shaft and butterfly until the toy turns off.

When they give the waterproof option, they mean it. The o-ring is large and the battery compartment requires a good amount of strength to twist the cap on tightly. Once the cap is secured the batteries are safe, even if you submerge the toy.

The FB is very easy to care for. Just give it a good wash with soap and water or use your favorite toy cleaner, I have an antibacterial one that I prefer.

The base of the toy is wonderfuly easy to clean as well. Being silicone, it can be cleaned like the rest of the toy and being waterproof means you can clean off the base and control pad with no worries. Just make sure that cap is screwed on tight and you can submerge the base if you want to clean it that way. The flush buttons are really nice because there isn't a concern of fluids getting behind the buttons and them getting sticky or hard to use.

The clitoral stimulator is nice, big and flexible so cleaning between him and the shaft is easy as well. There's no powder on this butterfly's wings that you have to worry about. It will keep on flying as long as you keep on feeding it batteries.

This wins my award for the busiest packaging I have received to date! There are pictures and information splattered on all six sides of the box. Five of those sides have managed to squeeze a picture of the toy, the name of the toy, a picture of a girl, and at least seven descriptive words about the Flutter. The only picture free are is the very bottom of the box but it too is plastered with care instructions and copyright info on top of a swirly, butterfly-esque design.

It does give you a lot of information on the Flutter. The box lets you know that it is a waterproof toy that has a silicone base. Though it never tells you that the shaft and insertable parts of the toy are PVC. A little tricky in my opinion. It goes on to tell you that there are sixteen functions resulting in hundreds of combinations. And as I said before it gives care instructions which is nice to see on the box for once. Usually this info is included inside the box or not at all, seeing it on the outside is nice for a change.

I have heard of many people who haven't had good experiences with dual vibes because they just don't fit the average woman. I really think this butterfly was made by an average woman and she got it right. The butterfly feels oversized for me and my small area which I think is going to make a lot of women happy.
