Well-Made Vibe... But It's Boring!

In terms of its usage, a simple $10 vibrator would provide just as much enjoyment. Yes, the Royal Princess provides the basics, and it is quiet- but why spend $50 on a vibrator that just provides the basics?

Use

While this vibrator fulfills many of my criteria for toys, including push button controls, multiple speeds and silicone/hypoallergenic material, it is just not a great toy. Due to its size, it may not be appropriate for beginners, but because it lacks texture and a well-designed shape, it would hardly satisfy a more advanced user.

Material / Texture

The Royal Princess is made of smooth silicone that warms to the touch, which is very pleasant. However, it has no texture. This may be appropriate for beginners, but it barely provides friction and there's very little stimulation from the material or the shape. In my book, that makes it a very boring vibrator!

Design / Shape / Size

The Royal Princess is supposed to provide G-spot stimulation with its curves, and the two enlarged bulbs on its body are supposed to provide extra friction and an area to grip. Because the texture is so smooth, I found it to be very poor at providing any stimulation, let alone G-spot stimulation. I never managed to get it into a good position to stimulate my G-spot. Also, despite my experience using G-spot vibrators, I also found that it would consistently spin around while I was using it so the G-spot tip was facing backwards, which was very frustrating.

Functions / Performance / Controls

I'm a big fan of push button controls on vibrators, and this one is superbly easy to operate. The vibrations are about average, but I was happy that it has seven different vibration modes. It is also very quiet. However, I was also VERY disappointed by the escalating vibration, which I've enjoyed the most on other vibrators. This one inexplicably contains a pause before each vibration begins, which meant that just as I was starting to build up to an orgasm, it would pause and let me down!

Care and Maintenance

Since this toy is made of silicone, it's very easy to care for- just wash using soap and water. Its smooth texture also makes it easy to clean.

    Neats,
Pretty good first review. Thanks for your honestly about the toy, and your experiences with it. I have a question for you though. You mentioned that you didn't like the smoothness of the silicone for thrusting with this toy. Was that more because of the silicone or because of the shape? Silicone toys are generally smooth in their texture, but can add ridges for stimulation. Have you tried any other silicone toys and liked them? Is it just the shape of this one? Or is it the silicone?

    Thanks!

Oh, I love silicone toys and have owned several, so the material used in this one was a plus for it. However, the silicone ones I've liked have also had some other texture, such as ribbing, nubs, etc. I'll update my review to reflect that Smile
