Ella Enchanted, Or How I Learned To Ejaculate.

The Ella is a delightful double-ended dildo made from high quality body-safe silicone. It is petite and non-intimidating, yet has an amazing ability to find my G-spot. It is absolutely perfect for thrusting my way to a squirting orgasm. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who hasn't found their G-spot yet, especially beginners who are looking for something that is not too big.

Use

Once upon a time, a boyfriend asked me if I had ever had a squirting orgasm. “I don’t think they exist, it’s probably just pee”, I replied. And then I met Ella, and she changed my life. With a beautifully seamless silicone design, she brings new meaning to the words “double ended dildo.” Warm up with the smooth curve, then switch to thrusting with the flat end, and get ready for orgasmic release. Fast. This zeroes in on my G-spot and gives me sheet-soaking, leg-shaking, mind-blowing orgasms in less than 5 minutes. If I’m getting out Ella, I’m getting out a towel (maybe two).

This is the best beginner G-spot dildo ever. I recommend it to anyone seeking the elusive squirting orgasm. It's perfect for anyone who has tried but couldn’t quite get there, or anyone who just wants to squirt. Ella showed me how, and I’m not stopping now. And no, it’s definitely not pee.

Material / Texture

The Lelo Ella is made of a gorgeous, 100% silicone, which is completely odorless and tasteless. It is also non-porous, sterilizable, Pthalates free, and completely body-safe. The body of the Ella is completely firm, which makes it easy to achieve the right amount of G-spot pressure. The texture of this baby is truly amazing; it is super smooth, soft, and velvety, with a just bit of drag. Ella is suitable for beginners or advanced users, although texture lovers might find it lacking.

The only hint of texture on Ella is a slight ridge towards the top of the straighter end of the shaft (it does not continue on the G-spot end. It is really barely noticeable, and I'm not aware of it in use. There is also a "Lelo" emblem engraved into the shaft on both sides, but again, I don't feel it during use.

Design / Shape / Size

The design is absolutely perfect. She is beautiful, almost like a piece of modern art. Sometimes I just take her out to admire her, although I always end up playing. I can’t help it!

This is one sexy design, not to mention that it is completely functional. Both ends work well as either a handle or a dildo. The G-spot curve is amazing and has never failed to give me an incredible G-spot orgasm, while the traditional end makes for a nice warm-up.

Its shape and size make it completely non-intimidating and can easily be used by beginners. It is a good toy to introduce to partner play since it is discreet, fairly small, and not at all realistic.

It is also virtually seamless. There is one tiny seam running up the body of the toy, but it’s really only visible upon close inspection. While I am sensitive to seams, I never once felt this during use, so it’s a non-issue. Since it is rather petite, it is easy to hide and fairly discreet. It is very sturdy and with no vibrations or motors, it is suitable for travel.

Performance

Both ends are divine! I first focused on the G-spot end, due to its insane ability to make me gush. It is so amazing; it gives me firm pressure right where I need it, and the size makes it easier to insert than other toys. It is excellent for thrusting and never fails to give me a great orgasm. The first time I used it I was completely amazed. I wasn't sure I even had a G-spot, but this end zeroed in on it and within minutes I experienced by first G-spot orgasm.

On the other hand, it took me some more time to enjoy the traditional end. At first it felt a bit boring, especially compared to the G-spot end. But now? I love it, especially for warm-up.

Although this end appears a bit pointy, it has never hit my cervix, and insertion is comfortable. While inserted, the G-spot end makes an excellent handle for slowly thrusting in and out. This end also works nicely for rocking up against the G-spot, but isn’t nearly as intense as the as the flat G-spot side. Honestly, even though I do enjoy it, I never use it for that long! It’s kind of like foreplay to me, while the G-spotter is the main event. However, it is quite fantastic to have a warm-up dildo and amazing G-spotter all in one. Lelo really thought this one through.

Care and Maintenance

Like all 100% silicone toys, Ella is super easy to care for. She is easily cleaned with soap and water, or can be boiled, or even thrown in the dishwasher (seriously!) on the top rack without any detergent to be disinfected. I've never attempted this, because, well, I don't have that many toys, and I don't want to run a whole load without detergent just for my Ella. Boiling is a great way to sanitize it, but I find soap and water works just fine for my purposes.

The only thing that may require more is the LELO emblem that is carved into the side. This sometimes requires a bit more scrubbing to remove any leftover lube. If anything is dried up in there, a quick soak in warm soapy water should do the trick. I generally let Ella air dry after cleaning, unless I’m in a rush to put her away, simply because silicone does tend to collect a bit of lint. Since silicone generally doesn’t play well with silicone lubes, I only use water-based lubes with my Ella.

Packaging

Ella came with a lovely satin pouch, which I use for storage. She also came in a beautiful, discreet black box, which I find a bit large for storing Ella. But, it is such high-quality box that I had to keep it, and I use it to store my condoms!

  • ella vs. others
    • I want to get ella as my first she doesn't seem as menacing as the others made of glass or metal but are those materials better sensation wise?
    • It comes down to personal preference, really. You're not going to know if glass or metal feels better to you until you try.

A couple things to keep in mind, though: glass and metal have absolutely no give, so they tend to feel bigger than silicone toys of the same size. They're also rather heavy in most cases, and so you need to be a bit more careful when you use them. Being too rough can result in internal bruising. They're very slick and smooth, though, unlike silicone which typically has some drag to it.

The Ella is pretty rigid for a silicone toy, but it's very light and easy to use. It's great if you're new to dildos. :)

I have not tried anything like that I hear alot of good things and alot of not so good things. its up to you to try and see what you prefer..

  • How Does Lelo Ella compare to Gigi?
    • I know that Ella doesn't vibrate, but are there many other differences? I am wondering whether the Ella might be a better shape or size for g-spot stimulation
    • i'm wondering this too. i bought gigi and was disappointed but ella seems even better should I or shouldn't I?

  • Would the Ella work well for a beginner?
    • I'm thinking of getting my bestfriend this for Christmas but she is new to toys. Would this be a good toy to give a newbie? I have not tried it myself so I'm not sure how easy it is to master.
    • I have the similarly shaped Gigi and found nothing but frustration when trying to thrust with it.
    • i think it would be a good option for a beginner.

  • I need help the Ella curve is doing me in.
    • I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have read every review and some twice. I can not figure this girl out. I want to write a review but, how can I write a review on something I do not get. Any ideas would be wonderful. Please help me enjoy this beautiful toy.
    • What do you not get about it? Not every toy works for every woman. Does it hurt to use? Maybe your vagina is too small for it yet or maybe you just need some lube. Do you not feel anything? Again, nothing is for everyone. Try sqeezing the toy by doing kegels when you use it. Some women say that makes things feel better. Or maybe try tilting it up towards your g-spot. That works for me with other toys.

I haven't used it yet. Just recently purchased a white Ella. And I can't wait! We've got the same name! :D
    • If you don't get it you can still write your review from that perspective. I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one who had that experience with it. I have the Ella and she's nice but she's not fireworks for me and that's ok. We all have different experiences with toys and that is what makes these reviews so valuable.

  • Dildo vs. Vibrator
    • I am having a hard time getting used to the idea of a dildo vs. a vibrator! As far as using one goes, how does one decide which is better for oneself? Just wondering and thanks!

What I mean by this I think is, is it easier with one than the other, or maybe does it require a different mind set or even is one better with partner play vs. solo? I don't know, LOL, just curious.
    • When we started with toys it was all about clit vibes for 'effective' reliable orgasms. But as we got into g-spot and a-spot stimulation, dildos have advantages over vibes because pressure is more important than vibes.

Now we almost always have some of both going on. A dildo for internal and a clit vibe for external - although she occasionally likes two vibes.

The only truism I've found is that what she wants/needs is different almost every time. I use to think 'this worked last time - so lets do it again' - but now I think 'we did that last time - what can I do to mix things up'.

That's why we have dozens of toys - both vibes and dildos.

  • Ella for beginners
    • Hey! I was just wondering if Ella would be something an absolute beginner could use, someone who's never gone looking for her g-spot before. She seems awfully tempting, but I wonder if I it's too advanced a toy for me?

Ella is perfect for beginners. I had tried several other G-spot toys before Ella. Ella was the first one that worked for me. Several people have had their first successes with Ella.

  • Ella and Gigi
    • I've had both the Ella and the Gigi sitting in my shopping cart for days now. I was wondering.. should I get them both, or should I maybe just get one to try, then maybe later on get the other if I want?

They both seem so worth it, it's hard to just pick one!

I just bought the Ella and have not tried it yet, but everyone seems to love it. I have had the GiGi for a couple of months and rarely use it, mainly because the control thing is located in the worst possible spot, and I invariably hit it and make the settings change! Argh! I also had no luck with it for g-spot stimulation, and the only times I get it out it is for clit work.

Even though I wasn't crazy about GiGi, it seems to do the job for a lot of people, so it might work for you. In fact, I bought it based on all the wonderful reviews. I've come to the conclusion that there is no one toy that will do the trick for everyone. Everyone is VERY different in their tastes and what they need.
    • I agree that no toy is good for everyone. I can not get a rabbit vibe that actually works for me by stimulating my clit and vag at the same time. Perhaps its operator error.
Anyway, I love the Gigi. I solved the control issue for me anyway by wiping the lube off the control and my fingers...success. The effectiveness of the Gigi is the vibe plus the design. I don't have the Ella, which is not a vibe but I see it as similar to many of the g spot dils available.
