Do you really want to hurt me...ow!

I got my Ella on sale and with what I paid I am happy to keep her and try her again for a rainy day. Maybe some day I'll get lucky?

If you are in doubt, save up the money and go for the Gigi, it has Ella's similar design but it also vibrates and I have a feeling that if Ella did that, I'd have no complaints!
Easy to clean, Elegant and sleek looking
Not for everyone, catches on pubic bone, awkward when inserted

Ella is designed for G-spot stimulation, as long as you are designed to fit her. It is double ended making it possible to use either side for vaginal penetration. It is not to be used anally as it has no flared base.

I also had some success just rubbing it against my clit for stimulation that way, and while it might be silly, it did feel pretty good. I am sure it would feel a bit better if the toy also vibrated!

Material / Texture

Ella is 100% silicone and has a fantastic feel to her. It's very smooth, almost like silk, with a nice drag when wet. I do notice a mild smell, somewhat of a mix between plastic and rubber, but she has no taste.

Ella is very firm with some bending towards the leanest part of her neck. Overall, she's not very flexible.

Design / Shape / Size

Sadly this is where Ella failed me! I desperately wanted a thicker G-spot toy to replace my Lulu scoops which are very thin G-spot toys that also vibrate. Ella, unfortunately, did not match my anatomy at all. I had an incredibly difficult time inserting her and a worse time getting her out. More importantly, I found little to no room for thrusting with her either. Desperately I tried stimulating with the little room I had and it HURT!

I thought maybe since she was double ended she would be twice as useful, but no! Her other end was even more painful. The pointed side of the other end kept poking me in a very sensitive spot and was literally unusable. I very, very much wanted to love Ella, but I am afraid we are not a match.

Ella got caught on my pubic bone without fail upon every thrust, so I tried thrusting just before the pelvic bone. I had some limited success here and was able to reach orgasm once with some clitoral stimulation, but all attempts after that were just painful and awkward.

I also tried using a rocking motion, but with the limited room I had to move in, it was more of a brief thrusting so that also didn't really help.

Sadly, the best use I got out of her was for clitoral stimulation, which she is not really designed for and my vibrators do better!

Care and Maintenance

With 100% silicone, care is a breeze. Not that I'll be getting much use out of her, but at the very least her clean up is easy!

Pure silicone, like the stuff Ella is made of, can be washed with warm water and antibacterial soap, washed in your dishwasher, or boiled for up to three minutes for complete bacterial removal. She also comes with a beautiful little bag for storage after you clean her.

Make sure, if you want to use lubrication with her, that you only use water based as silicone based lubricants can destroy your toy!

Ella's packaging won me over so much. It's hard to stay mad at her for performing so badly. Ella comes in a beautiful box. One side has a picture of the toy and the other has Lelo in small letters. Inside that box is another box which can be kept and used for storage, as it's so beautiful it's hard to throw away! The box inside is black and discreet, with Lelo engraved on the top, again in small letters, and opens up to reveal your Ella under a plastic cover. Ella sits nestled in the center. Below her, in a compartment at the bottom, is your instruction packet and a small bag with drawstrings for storage if you do not want to keep the box.

    • Elegant
    • Good for storage

Personal comments

I wish I had listened to the warnings about Ella being difficult to use for some and catching on the pelvic bone. The worst part about it is Ella is a great toy, unless you are not designed to fit her, and there is just no way to tell until you get her home.
