I wanted to love Ella...

If you're looking for a G-spotting dildo, you might love Ella. Or, you might not. Ella definitely isn't designed with couples use in mind, and it is possible to thrust on your own with either end. The shape is very popular and was designed specifically for g-spot stimulation, but to be honest, I just wasn't thrilled.

The silky smooth silicone is wonderful. The "neck" is very flexible, but the two ends are weighted and firm. For g-spot stimulation, this is great - in theory. There's no smell to the silicone, and it's exceedingly easy to clean.

Ella does offer two ends for two different kinds of vaginal stimulation. Because it lacks a flared base, I would be cautious about using this dildo anally. The g-spot head is a little bit awkward to insert, but it did not get caught on my pubic bone. Because it's a relatively small dildo (less than 8" is what I consider on the small side) and comes with a satin storage bag, it's very travel-friendly. It's really a beautiful dildo.

If Ella hits your g-spot and if the thrusting motion is enough to get you off, this is a great toy. It simply was not enough stimulation for me. I wanted to like this dildo, as I love the brand as a whole, but I really didn't find it particularly good at hitting my g-spot. It's definitely not harness compatible.

Because Ella is made of 100% pure silicone, you have a lot of options when it comes time to clean. Of course, you can use an antibacterial toy cleaner. You can also use soap and water, a 10% bleach solution, or boiling. I love that it comes with a satin pouch which makes storage easy and discreet.

As with all Lelo products, the packaging is beautiful. Ella comes in a cardboard box with a picture of the dildo and some discreet information. It's certainly not going to fool anyone into thinking it's something other than an adult product, but the packaging is classy enough to be given at a more conservative bachelorette party or wedding shower, for example. Inside is a black keepsake box embossed with "LELO", inside which you find Ella, nestled with a short manual, warranty information, and the satin bag.

I really wanted to like Ella. I've read rave reviews both on Eden Fantasys and elsewhere, but my g-spot was just not impressed.
