Elegant Ella

Ella is a great choice if you're looking for something sleek, body safe, and that doesn't scream "I'm a sexy toy". The sleek size is great for beginners and those that don't like a lot girth with toys. With both ends being usable, you basically get a "2 for 1" deal.

extremely useful review

Ella is a double ended dildo made by LELO. It is made of smooth, soft silicone that is 100% body safe. The flat end is designed to help located and stimulate the g-spot, where the tapered, rounded end is more for deeper vaginal penetration. You can use Ella alone or with a partner. I don't recommend using it anally because it lacks a flared base. Because it is silicone and has no internal parts to worry about water damage, you can take it into the bath or shower. Ella doesn't resemble the typical dildo, though if left out I'm sure someone would be able to guess what it's used for.

Material / Texture

Ella is made of 100% body safe silicone and rates a 10 on Eden's safety scale. The silicone is smooth and soft to the touch. There isn't any give to the tapered end, though it does bend at the flattened part a good bit when pushing up with some pressure. This is basically a pretty firm toy. It is is hypo-allergenic, non-porous, latex and phthalates free, making it friendly for any user. There was no detectable scent to it.
There are no added textures; just smooth, silky silicone.

Design / Shape / Size

Ella was designed with the female anatomy in mind. One end is flattened to aid in locating and stimulating the g-spot. The other end is tapered and rounded at the tip, this end is best for thrusting and deeper vaginal stimulation. Ella is very tasteful and elegant looking, not intimidating at all. It should be good for any user, though those that love girthy toys may not be completely satisfied by it.
The measurements are:
Length: 7"
Insterable length: 5"
Circumference: 4"
Diameter: 1 1/4"

Compared to Picobong Moka and JeJoue Uma

Ella works great for locating the g-spot, the flattened end is able to be pressed against it providing direct stimulation where toys without the curve or the flat head miss. You may want to be careful as it has been known to catch on the pubic bone of some women. I'm not much for g-spot stimulation as it seems to give me a cramping feeling, so that is not the reason I chose it, though I was able to find it with Ella. The tapered, rounded end is good for thrusting and deeper vaginal stimulation. The sleek body makes it comfortable to use, especially for those that don't like a lot of girth. There isn't really any drag to this silicone, though water based lube may be used to help things along, just be careful as things can get slick if you get it on your hands and the part that you're holding. It is a lot slicker than the silicone used by Je Joue and Jopen.

Care and Maintenance

Ella is easy to care for. To clean you can use antibacterial soap and water, toy cleaner, wipes or a 10% bleach solution. It comes with a nice silky storage bag, but you can also keep it nestled in the box. LELO's silicone doesn't attract lint, hair and other particles like I have noticed with other silicone, you still should store it where it will be protected. Only use water based lubricant with this toy.

Ella comes in a nice, tasteful, yet not discreet box. It is pictured right on the front and says "pleasure object". However, the box inside of the product box is discreet since it only says "LELO" on it. The toy is safely nestled down in the box with a protective casing over it. Remove it, turn the box upside down and out comes your storage bag, warranty card, manual and lubricant (though apparently whoever packaged mine forgot to put that in there before shipping it out!), well either that or the card replaced it? Not too sure on that but it wasn't a concern to me rather I had the lubricant or not. I use the bag for storing it but we kept the box to put other small things in.
Follow-up commentary
I like this dildo. Lelo makes great products. You may like getting screwed by a dildo, but you don't want it to be the GIANT dildo, Fred, who owns this site. DON'T SHOP FOR LELO PRODUCTS HERE!

Sorry to hear that! I'm not much for non-vibrating things. I mean I like glass every now and then, but for some reason I felt like I needed to have this one! I'm thinking of getting Gigi sometime.
