Ella: If only I could make a couple of adjustments.

Lelo's Ella is a double-ended dildo designed for internal stimulation. Each end offers a different type of g-spotting. One end is thicker with a subtle curve, providing broad stimulation and ease of thrusting. The other end has a tapered neck, dramatic curve, as well as a head that's broad and flat: this is intended for pinpoint g-spotting.

Ella does not have a flared base, so avoid anal usage.

Is this a good first toy? Probably not. Ella is rigid, and has some bulk and curve to her. Unless the buyer is fairly comfortable with penetration by other means, it would be best to start with something else.

Is this a good first toy for a couple? No. Ellas flat, g-spotting head, pointy, broad stimulation end, and rigidity can potentially cause bruising from overenthusiastic thrusting. I'd investigate something softer.

As a second toy though, Ella is great. She's works well for those comfortable with penetration and couples who have established good communication while using toys. She provides a taste of both worlds, as far as g-spotting is concerned; both the blunt, broad kind, and the pinpoint, intense kind.

Ella is 100% approved for roommates, even in close quarters such as dorms. She is a dildo, meaning there is no sound produced by her to worry about. She also comes with a handy storage bag, making her easy to tuck away within bedding, suitcases, or what have you.

These same aspects make her great for travel; there are no vibrations to go off in your suitcase and it's easy to tuck away, so there should be no problem.

Out of the box, Ella is the pure white pictured on this website. She has a silicone "new toy smell", but that is it as far as odor goes.

Ella is 100% silicone, which is a 10 on the Eden material safety scale. This material is hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous, and phthalates free, which are features that make it both free of harmful chemicals and easy to disinfect. Ella also does not collect lint easily, making her low-maintenance.

I cannot recommend a better material for newbies; silicone is safe, low maintenance, non-textured, low drag, and flexible enough in the neck not to catch your pubic bone.

Being non-porous does make her an excellent choice when switching partners, just make sure to always disinfect it between partners to remove any surface gunk.

Her texture is buttery soft; there are no seams or texturing anywhere to be found, yet the rigidity of the silicone gives it no drag whatsoever, requiring only sparing use of lube. The toy itself has almost no give to it whatsoever, with the exception of the flexible neck underneath the g-spotting head, which is moderately flexible, allowing only moderately intense g-spot pressure.

Ella is on the petite side and her measurements are as follows:

Ella's g-spotting end is dramatically curved to almost a 90 degree angle, though the flexibility in the neck ensures it will not catch your pubic bone. Generally speaking, Ella is very smooth, ergonomic, and curvy in shape, with the exception of a point on the broad-stimulation end. This can get uncomfortable during vigorous thrusting and potentially cause bruising.

All in all, Ella is not a great choice for someone new to penetration. Both sides have a fair amount of girth. For someone comfortable with penetration and new to toys, however, Ella can prove quite helpful in trying different methods of g-spotting.

If left out, it is fairly obvious what Ella is for. The phallic shape and lack of other possible uses that come to mind when viewing this object make it a dead giveaway.

Ella possesses many wonderful aspects, namely regarding her ease of use. It is easy to clean thanks to the silicone, easy to thrust because of the slim build and smooth texture, easy to switch things up because of her having two ends, and easy to hide thanks to her handy storage bag, petite size, and non-vibrating nature.

Ella may work well for someone with a hard to find g-spot, if it is not very deep, given that Ella is not very lengthy. The curved head applies enough pressure that it's obvious when ones g-spot is in fact being hit. The ease really only extends to vaginal use however, as the lack of a round, flared based make her incompatible with harness and/or anal use.

With this ease comes a couple caveats in performance. The point at the broad stimulation base can lead to discomfort when thrusting too hard. I also found her g-spotting head having give in the neck problematic due to it bending backwards. Intense g-spotting with Ella sometimes proved disappointing.

Ella is compatible with water-based lubricants only. Her buttery soft silicone is surprisingly not a lint magnet. Ellas smooth, seamless design leaves no places for gunk to linger.

Ella should always be disinfected between uses and partners. Being made of non-porous silicone, she can easily be disinfected after each use by boiling for 3 minutes or bleaching.

Ella comes with her own hypoallergenic drawstring storage bag. This makes her easy to store among other toys as the bag acts as a barrier between the silicone and other toys that could break down the silicone.

Ella, like other Lelo toys, comes in packaging with an outer box that shows a picture of the toy in its respective color. The inner box is much more sturdy and jet black, with the indentation of the Lelo logo on the top. Opening the box reveals Ella lying in an indentation shaped for her. Opening a flap on the side reveals a storage bag, lubricant, warranty information, and a Lelo product authenticity card.

There aren't any included instructions, but that isn't really necessary given that Ella has no buttons or settings to figure out. The inner box would make for good storage given that it is discreet, but the included storage bag makes that unnecessary.

I would recommend Ella to a female-bodied person who comfortable with penetration and looking for a good introduction to g-spotting dildos. Yes, Ella's neck does bend a little, but it's better than facing the alternative of having a toy catch your pubic bone.

This was my first dildo and my third Lelo toy. Despite a couple issues with the shape, Ella is still my favorite and go-to toy.

Ellas pointy, broader end is the side I use most of the time, as I enjoy the fuller feeling, though the point is often times a little irritating.

The opposite, "g-spotting" end was too flexible in the neck for my taste. Though I do enjoy not having to worry about it getting hooked around my pubic bone, there comes a certain point in using Ella where her g-spot pressure is simply not enough.
