Use

Ella is designed to be used from both ends. You can use the uncurved side for “traditional” penetration play, or the curved side for g-spot play. She is good for everyone because of her quality and the fact that her size is unintimidating - but will really give you great stimulation.

She’s not harness compatible, nor good for anal, she’s just too small.

Material / Texture

She's velvety and firm in perfect measures. She has less give which means more stimulation on the g-spot. Zero taste or smell. I love the texture of this toy; she's the firmest of my silicone toys, but with her design and size, it makes her perfect for her job.

I love silicone toys! They're easy to sanitize and take care of, and they're very safe for the body.
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

The flat part at the top of the g-spot side gives constant attention in the best way to your g-spot! She feels so smooth and slightly velvety. She’s on the small end but so well designed and very firm that she’s just right for stimulating the g-spot.

Performance

She’s easy to hold onto at either end to use by yourself or with a partner. My girlfriend uses this toy on me all the time, and I’ve experienced female ejaculation using this toy. I really love my Ella, she packs a punch for being so small. She feels great against the skin, she’s the perfect weight, and everything. Just holding this luxurious toy in my hand builds up anticipation and excitement.
    • Comfortable
    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

I love silicone, you can boil it to sanitize it, you can put it in the dishwasher sans detergent, you can use a 10% bleach solution, you can wash it with soap and water, it’s so safe for the body and easy to clean. So you can share it, but I’m not sharing with anyone! She’s all mine!! Mwahahaha!

Only use water based lubes or you’ll ruin your Ella!! Silicone lube degrades silicone toys!

Packaging

I got the white Ella, and she came inside a white shiny box with some information about Ella and a graphic of her, then inside that white box is a very high quality black matte gift box (LELO packaging is always extraordinarily nice). Inside that box is Ella with a plastic cover over her, I’m sure to protect her from dust, which is easily lifted up. She’s a velvety matte white, firm, and heavier than I expected (but not heavy by any means), and you can tell she’s high quality.

Underneath the plastic cover and the black matte your Ella is nestled in, there is a black satin storage back, instruction manual, warranty information, and a LELO toy book of sorts.

The nice thing about this packaging is there’s no shaking around, the mailman/your wife/girlfriend/roommate /your mom who picks up your mail for you will not know it’s a dildo. If you order a dildo, say the glorious Leo from Vixen Creations, it comes in a tube or box that allows it to jiggle around; inside the mailing box I could shake it and the awkwardness of the weight moving was a tale-tell sign it was a dildo. Just a thought for the paranoid.

You could store her in her beautiful box or gift it in that matte black box. I’m using the satin pouch!
    • Good for storage
    • Minimal
    • Very informative

Personal comments

I love this toy! LELO always makes awesome toys! They're simple, elegant, and profoundly nice. There are really no cons to this toy; it's so simple and good that it's stupid.

Experience

My girlfriend uses this toy on me and the first time we used it was even amazing. With some toys, there's a learning curve, like finding the right vibration function, or the condoms, or tightening the harness just so, or all the myriad of other things that get in the way.

With this toy, there isn't any of that, and it's so luxurious feeling and simple and elegant looking. The design is flawless, and I come over and over again when she uses this toy. It just feels GOOD!

It's not intimidating, but it really works well. LELO did some good work with this one. I think it's brought me and my girl closer together. Truly one of my favorite toys.

I need to save up and buy the Olga now!

I don't own Ella, but have read of her praises... it just doesn't seem like it would work for me very well. Great review, though!

  • ella vs. others
    • I want to get ella as my first she doesn't seem as menacing as the others made of glass or metal but are those materials better sensation wise?
    • It comes down to personal preference, really. You're not going to know if glass or metal feels better to you until you try.

A couple things to keep in mind, though: glass and metal have absolutely no give, so they tend to feel bigger than silicone toys of the same size. They're also rather heavy in most cases, and so you need to be a bit more careful when you use them. Being too rough can result in internal bruising. They're very slick and smooth, though, unlike silicone which typically has some drag to it.

The Ella is pretty rigid for a silicone toy, but it's very light and easy to use. It's great if you're new to dildos. :)

I have not tried anything like that I hear alot of good things and alot of not so good things. its up to you to try and see what you prefer..

  • How Does Lelo Ella compare to Gigi?
    • I know that Ella doesn't vibrate, but are there many other differences? I am wondering whether the Ella might be a better shape or size for g-spot stimulation
    • i'm wondering this too. i bought gigi and was disappointed but ella seems even better should I or shouldn't I?

  • Would the Ella work well for a beginner?
    • I'm thinking of getting my bestfriend this for Christmas but she is new to toys. Would this be a good toy to give a newbie? I have not tried it myself so I'm not sure how easy it is to master.
    • I have the similarly shaped Gigi and found nothing but frustration when trying to thrust with it.
    • i think it would be a good option for a beginner.

  • I need help the Ella curve is doing me in.
    • I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have read every review and some twice. I can not figure this girl out. I want to write a review but, how can I write a review on something I do not get. Any ideas would be wonderful. Please help me enjoy this beautiful toy.
    • What do you not get about it? Not every toy works for every woman. Does it hurt to use? Maybe your vagina is too small for it yet or maybe you just need some lube. Do you not feel anything? Again, nothing is for everyone. Try sqeezing the toy by doing kegels when you use it. Some women say that makes things feel better. Or maybe try tilting it up towards your g-spot. That works for me with other toys.

I haven't used it yet. Just recently purchased a white Ella. And I can't wait! We've got the same name! :D
    • If you don't get it you can still write your review from that perspective. I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one who had that experience with it. I have the Ella and she's nice but she's not fireworks for me and that's ok. We all have different experiences with toys and that is what makes these reviews so valuable.

  • Dildo vs. Vibrator
    • I am having a hard time getting used to the idea of a dildo vs. a vibrator! As far as using one goes, how does one decide which is better for oneself? Just wondering and thanks!

What I mean by this I think is, is it easier with one than the other, or maybe does it require a different mind set or even is one better with partner play vs. solo? I don't know, LOL, just curious.
    • When we started with toys it was all about clit vibes for 'effective' reliable orgasms. But as we got into g-spot and a-spot stimulation, dildos have advantages over vibes because pressure is more important than vibes.

Now we almost always have some of both going on. A dildo for internal and a clit vibe for external - although she occasionally likes two vibes.

The only truism I've found is that what she wants/needs is different almost every time. I use to think 'this worked last time - so lets do it again' - but now I think 'we did that last time - what can I do to mix things up'.

That's why we have dozens of toys - both vibes and dildos.

  • Ella for beginners
    • Hey! I was just wondering if Ella would be something an absolute beginner could use, someone who's never gone looking for her g-spot before. She seems awfully tempting, but I wonder if I it's too advanced a toy for me?

Ella is perfect for beginners. I had tried several other G-spot toys before Ella. Ella was the first one that worked for me. Several people have had their first successes with Ella.

I'm glad Ella seems like such a successful toy! I hope she works for me, too <3

  • Ella and Gigi
    • I've had both the Ella and the Gigi sitting in my shopping cart for days now. I was wondering.. should I get them both, or should I maybe just get one to try, then maybe later on get the other if I want?

They both seem so worth it, it's hard to just pick one!

I just bought the Ella and have not tried it yet, but everyone seems to love it. I have had the GiGi for a couple of months and rarely use it, mainly because the control thing is located in the worst possible spot, and I invariably hit it and make the settings change! Argh! I also had no luck with it for g-spot stimulation, and the only times I get it out it is for clit work.

Even though I wasn't crazy about GiGi, it seems to do the job for a lot of people, so it might work for you. In fact, I bought it based on all the wonderful reviews. I've come to the conclusion that there is no one toy that will do the trick for everyone. Everyone is VERY different in their tastes and what they need.
    • I agree that no toy is good for everyone. I can not get a rabbit vibe that actually works for me by stimulating my clit and vag at the same time. Perhaps its operator error.
Anyway, I love the Gigi. I solved the control issue for me anyway by wiping the lube off the control and my fingers...success. The effectiveness of the Gigi is the vibe plus the design. I don't have the Ella, which is not a vibe but I see it as similar to many of the g spot dils available.
