Fast Girls by Rachel Kramer Bussel is an anthology of erotica that focuses on women who have to have it when they want it or who go after exactly what they want. It features great story lines and erotic scenes that are very hot! If you are looking for a new collection of erotica that you can pick up and read anytime, give this one a try.

Do you happen to judge a book by its cover? Does the picture or its title conjure up deep-seated sexual fantasies, triggering your brain to reach for the book and place it in your shopping cart? This book reveals a side of women determined to fulfill their sexual desires. I wanted to explore those erotic and fantasy-driven stories found in [italic|Fast Girls].

This collection of erotica has some good stories, but stumbles and falls on too many of them. Although some selections are well written and sexy, there are too many amateurish writings in the book and the collection simply doesn't hold together with a unified theme. It has some bright spots, but Bussel needs to choose the selections more carefully. An attempt to bring erotica into the mainstream which doesn't work out for either mainstream or erotic as a whole.
some arousing stories, a few well known writers
too many long stories, unnecessary details unrelated to sex, selection inconsistent

Fast Girls is a great collection of erotica. The stories are all hot and encompass a variety of women and situations, although there are more that contain kink than others (not a bad thing for me). These Fast Girls don’t fit any one type, but they do all have one thing in common – they all go after what they want and need. This is probably the best erotica collection I've read.

If you like Twilight, stop reading my review and just go read the book. Nothing I say should stop you from reading this book; you'll like it. If you're still reading, I think there is a large demographic of people who are not that comfortable with their own bodies and sexuality, who have trouble expressing their thoughts and feelings about sex. This book might help them expand their horizons, but if you can use the word vagina I would say look for something better.

This is part one of a three-part series of poorly written BDSM novels. They follow an overpowering, control-freak millionaire and a weak, submissive, recent college graduate that engage in a Dom/sub relationship. The sexual inaccuracies and terrible characters will drive you crazy, but the glaring typos, misspelled words, and poor grammar may drive you crazy first.

Overall, I'm pretty ambivalent about this book. The sex scenes were hot, and the main story line was actually pretty promising, so it was really just the execution that I found lacking. Would I recommend this book to others? Uhhh... Meh. I was curious about 50 Shades, so I picked it up and read it. Now I know what it's about. If you want to do the same, you're more than welcome to it.

Overall this wasn't a waste of time for me. I thought the story was developed well and the characters (apart from originally being the Twilight fan-fiction it was) were well developed and thought through. The ending was a shocker, which I was pleased with. At time it could lose my interest but could also very quickly grab it again.

Fifty shades of grey is (514 page) book about a complicated relationship, romance and sex. However it does put BD/SM in a negative light implying something is wrong with you if you live this way of life. This book is definitely geared toward women because it paints our dreams and sometimes unrealistic expectations in men.

I was a little disapointed with how the author portrays the BDSM lifestyle. In real life the Dom/me would talk to the sub a lot more about what he wanted of her. He would show her how things needed to be, and then start laying the ground rules for what they were going to do. To me it read like a romance with a little kink thrown in to the mix.
Fifty Shades of Grey is a good read. It does show a small peek in to the BSDM lifestyle.

I can see it being a big deal for those who have vanilla sex (a term that I had learned in the book meaning casual sex). This book will definitely make your panties wet or give you a stiff one. Sadly, the female character is portrayed as weak, inexperienced, and at times, an unwilling participant in BDSM. I just wish that the girl had a little more confidence. Honestly, I feel like any woman should try and get what they feel they deserve, not just wait for it to happen. I had to know, and I am happy I did. This is my twilight! I hear this book may be made into a movie, and I will be first in line. Team Grey all the way!
Everything about this book is a pro. Nothing bad will come from my mouth! Great, awesome read!

Whereas Fifty Shades of Grey is by far not the best written book ever released, it is by far not the worst. Yes the characters are unbelievable and it is based on a fan fiction but it makes for a great lazy summer read. One of the best things about the book is just how amazingly bad it is; the main character uses the phrase "inner goddess" at least 36 times in the first book alone. The book is not going to be winning the Pulitzer Prize anytime soon but it is a good way to waste an afternoon.

If you can get past the concerns I mentioned, the story is engaging because of the innocence of Ana as Mr. Grey introduces her to a world she had known nothing about. Her character is headstrong, knows what she doesn't want, and likes to bargain with Mr. Grey, even though at first glance he is not one to bargain. Just because I have issues with the writing style, that doesn't mean the plot isn't enjoyable. Ultimately, fiction should be entertainment, and on this point it hits a home run.
Great story, interesting plot.

If you can overlook the juvenile writing style, Fifty Shades of Grey is truly a beautifully written love story. Despite the repetition, the sex scenes are sexy, romantic and even a little kinky. Being unfamiliar in the world of BDSM, I thought the BDSM aspect was pretty tame and there was never a point where I wanted to stop reading. I honestly wish the more conservative would look past the 'dangerous' aspect of this story and really look to seeing that this is a great story of redemption.

I liked the fact that it got the word out about the BDSM Lifestyle, that this book is making "vanilla" people think about kink. Not a bad read. I wouldn't say it's a complete abomination to the BDSM world. It's fun, it's fiction, it's fantasized. Grey becomes a romantic character that you want to love and hate. However, as someone who practices BDSM with my Dom, I simply can't give a higher rating to something that paints Doms and subs to be damaged or "abnormal." Grey truly isn't as 'extreme' as Anastasia's mind makes him out to be. This is a love story with whips and control involved and you can't expect much more.

As something that started out as a Twilight fanfiction, I hadn't expected this book to be great, but after hearing all the hype, I just had to read it myself. I'm definitely not the biggest fan. This book is about Anastasia Steele an innocent, plain girl who finds herself in a relationship with Christian Grey, a billionaire who just happens to be into BDSM. It poorly portrays a BDSM relationship, though and since Ana is so innocent and vanilla, she tends to say a lot of rude things about BDSM.

Fifty Shades of Grey is the book everyone is talking about, mostly women, raving about how it has improved their sex lives with their partners. It was originally Twilight fanfiction. It has a mysterious male character, the guy that every woman wants and the lucky one that gets to be with him. There is mystery, suspense, kink, passion, a hint of love and a lot of sex. One should be aware though that this isn't an accurate description of why and how a BDSM relationship starts.

I found the Letters to Penthouse XXXXII to be pretty unexciting. In theory, it's a good book. There's a good variety of coupling, fetishes, and ways people get off in the book. There is something for pretty much everyone. However, most stories rely on the same descriptors, which makes me feel the same person wrote all of them. There are some more original stories as well, but there aren't enough to justify buying the book. To me this last book is more about Gray and Ana coming together as one. They test each other and how far they are willing to go for each other. The tug and pull of this relationship is tested to the point you think it is all over. But a family crisis or two can bring anyone back together. Maybe even closer for some. I wonder if their happily ever after will happen or continue on into another book.
Entertaining, keeps bringing me back for more
Ending leaves me unsure if there will be another book

Fifty Shades Freed is just a whole lot of fluff and filler with very little climax. It is long and drawn out and is the same ole' same ole'. Christian is a little less screwed up. Ana is a little more screwed up. Everything that we already knew would happen, does. So there aren't any surprises and it was just as repetitive and annoying as the first two books.
• It’s the last book • Questions are answered • Fifty is less abusive

**possible spoilers** If you have read the first two books of the Fifty Shades Trilogy this book is not only better in comparison to the other two, but it also answers some questions that were left unanswered in the first two books. I wouldn't read the first two books without reading the last one. It makes the first two books better knowing how some things were tied together.

I did not like this book at all. Ok, I did a little just because of the story of the couple. The sex is not what I thought it would be (like I've said in all the reviews) and things kind of just go spiraling out of control in a sense. I would recommend reading though, just so you can see for yourself just how big of mess this last book seems.

50 Shades Freed was a great ending to the 50 shades trilogy. Other hopeless romantics won't be disappointed. Ana is finally able to make a break through with Christian and he finally comes to terms with his past and his new future. Overall, the books are a great read for vanilla couples and was a good way to introduce new ideas as long as you keep an open mind that this is fiction, just one portrayal of how a BDSM relationship started and how love helped it to become healthy.

For those that have made it to the third book in this trilogy, it is a must read. For someone just picking up the series, I would suggest trying the first two books first because there are elements to the plot and characters that would not be understood without the context of the first two volumes. The sex scenes remain very strong and erotic, though the writing style can grate on you at times. However, if you've made it to the third book you will want to know how it ends.

The perfect book for those who are truly into BDSM and can't seem to find a hard enough edge in other books offered by Eden. However, there is no variation from this theme. Many of the stories could be turn offs for those who enjoy light BDSM but don't believe in absolute submission. Is this BDSM or just outright disrespect of one's partner? Is BDSM solely about humiliation? This book suggests it. Still, my brain was mad, but my panties were wet.

Little kinky f’ery in this book, Mr. Grey has switched to mainly vanilla, but a good story line with twists and turns, and more adventure takes place outside the bedroom than in it in volume two of this trilogy.
Good story line, sex seems to add to the story, developed plot.
Redundant, Unbelievable characters, poorly written.

Ultimately, while this book was not quite as terrible as its predecessor, it still fails to meet the basic standards for realism, for enjoyable erotica, and certainly for a healthy portrayal of relationships, BDSM or otherwise.

With Fifty Shades Darker the Fifty Shades series cranks up the cheese level another notch. The writing is worse, the characters are even more shallow and one-dimensional, and the sex scenes are as hot as lukewarm tea. Don't go into this book expecting great things, it reads like bad Twilight fan fiction… oh wait that is what it is based on. I will admit that while it is not an amazing book it does make for a good summer read, perfect for an afternoon by the pool.

The second volume in the trilogy, the plot moves along rapidly through the second book. The end of the second book sets the stage for an exciting conclusion to the trilogy, and the sex scenes are engaging and titillating. The characters are engaging and you will want to know what happens in the conclusion.
Moves plot along, engages you with characters, hot sex scenes.
Writing style is still somewhat cloying at times.

50 Shades Darker takes us deeper into the mind and soul of the mysterious Christian. We see Ana bring parts of him out that no one, not even his therapist could do for years. There are some passionate sex scenes and some not so exciting ones. We see a little more kink in this book. The suspense delivers despite some repetition. It's not a literary masterpiece but it's an OK book.

Although I don't recall reading any stories of man on man sex in this book, Dirty Girls showcases a variety of men and women of different personalities, genders, and sexual orientations. Some of the characters are left basically undefined in gender, which makes the book and the sex more mysterious. In addition, masculinity and femininity are played with between both the male and female genders. This book is really a mix of tricks, sex, and a surprisingly sexy read.
+Over 25 Stories. +Will appeal to a wide audience of different genders and sexual orientations.
-Not necessarily appealing to homosexual males. -Boring Intro.

This was not what I was hoping for when I ordered a book full of erotic fairy tales. That said, I have found it to be intriguing. It offers a new twist on traditional stories. If your looking for something with explicit language and is quite erotic this book probably won't satisfy. If you prefer having things more implied or if you are more interested in the history of fairy tales you will probably enjoy this book.
It was educational and thought provoking.
It wasn't arousing and used too many metaphors and euphemisms.

While this book is very informative for the fairy tale reader in me, it lacked eroticism. I honestly don't understand how it got onto Eden. This book has all your favorites and I promise you will learn more from the origin summary than you ever thought you would, but this book is definitely not masturbating material. 2 stars because I did learn so much about my favorite stories.

In Sleeping Beauty's Bed by Mitzi Szereto is a wonderful of beloved fairy tales with an erotic twist thrown in. The author presents each protagonist as touchingly innocent and yet open to the bawdy, erotic adventure that befalls them. The language isn't raw, or graphic but still the reader is able to discern what is really going on.
Discreet cover, language isn't raw or pornographic, great historical time lines for each story.

This book is an entertaining combination of authentic fairy tales re-written for adults, and a literary study on fairy tales in general. It's very well-written over all, but if you are looking for straightforward graphic sex scenes you'll be disappointed. This is the kind of book where you have to turn your mind away from looking for blatant sex scenes and let your imagination find them.

In Sleeping Beauty's Bed isn't your conventional erotica. It's a collection of fairy tales that were given an adult twist - and given that twist well. As an erotica book it does poorly, but as a book understood in its own genre, it's a fun read.

In Sleeping Beauty's Bed is a collection of erotic re-imaginings of classic fairy tales, accompanied by a history and background on the origin of each story. While it may not be particularly thrilling for those seeking outright erotic and vividly sexual writing, it would be very well suited for those just beginning to read erotica that are looking for a softer introduction to the genre while not being bored by the same old sexual scenarios.
Educational, wide range of stories, surprising plot twists, good for beginning erotica readers.
May be too flowery or wordy for some, not written in an outright explicit manner.

This is a pretty damn good anthology in my opinion. I loved that there was rough sex and BDSM in some stories, but it wasn't all of them, so if that isn't your thing you don't have to worry that it is the whole book. Every story but one had sex in it which was awesome. Too many books don't which irritates me.

Vampires are sexy, lesbians are sexy, combining those two has to be super sexy right? Well in this case, yes! Delilah Devlin does a wonderful job picking stories that are less traditional in nature, and some that don't even focus on the vampires themselves, but still have that aspect front and center somehow. If you're a fan of vampire erotica or slightly kinky lesbian erotica, you'll enjoy pretty much all of the stories this book has to offer.

My only regret in Steamlust is that too many of the stories are too similar---all feature strong brilliant heroines whose hearts won't be confined by their corsets. If you don't mind romance with your erotica, exclusively male-female couplings, and a little more focus on the corsets than the cogs, this book will be fascinating. Even for the hardcore cog fans among us, Steamlust holds a lot to love, and there are stories worth reading for anyone who thinks steampunk is steamy.
Brass, steam and automata, brilliant women and courageous men, well-written character-based stories.
Not enough variety (all hetero, from female's perspective). More romancey than I like.

You may ask me, "Ryu, why did you count off a star for one story? It can't be THAT bad!" Yes, reader, yes it can. It's not only bad in a "This isn't going to be sexy for almost anyone" kind of way, but it's the kind of bad like ending a romantic comedy with the main character getting gruesomely murdered on screen, and then the credits rolling.
