Overall the books were good the first time, kinda boring the second time. The more erotica I read the more tame this came across. I would recommend reading all of the books (partly because it's part of pop culture now), but don't buy them.
It was a very easy, entertaining read.
Better erotic writing and deeper story lines.

Disappointing with a barf-worthy happily-ever-after ending.
Don't bother reading the actual book, because I can summarize the entire thing up for you here: sex; fight; makeup sex; fight; makeup sex; fight; fight fight; flight; yell; pregnancy scare; panic; OMG; major fight; weep; "hi," I breathed, "hi," he whispered back; makeup sex; happily ever after. I really had high hopes for Fifty Shades Freed after liking the second book in the series so much, but alas, E.L. James disappoints.
Great character-building; Lots revealed about Christian's past; The series is over!!!
Bad sex scenes; Ridiculously elementary writing; Frightening characters

It Has Come to an End- Spoiler
This entire series was a waste of time. The characters in this book suck. They portray BDSM in an unhealthy and unsafe way. The book is poorly written and uses poor grammar. The bursts of action are very short and the characters immediately go back to having sex. I also don't see how the sex scenes turned so many people on, because they were so unlikely and unrealistic.
Last book of a three-part series Someone gave these books to me, so they were free

So sad it's over!
Fifty Shades Freed finished the story off brilliantly. In this book, you really explore even further into how the relationship between Christian and Ana develops. You are able to see that they are so in love, yet they still have a huge amount to learn and share about one another. I understand that these books might not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you strip everything back, what you have is a wonderful and completely absorbing love story. What could be better than that?
Biggest plot of the trilogy. Full of mystery, drama, and tension. Story ends in a good place.

The End of Fifty Shades
Fifty Shades Freed is the third and final book in the Fifty Shades Trilogy by E.L James. It continues to explore the relationship between Chrisitan and Ana and overall is a good read that ties up the series pretty well. If you read the other two and want to know how it ends, I suggest getting this one. However, if you know that the writing style and Ana's inner goddess are going to drive you crazy, then maybe you should pass on this.

A Rollercoaster of Emotions
The book, overall, was a roller coaster of emotions - from the relationship and everyday lives of the characters to the problems and decisions they ultimately had to face in the end. There are 2 major conflicts that arise and that are resolved. It was very exciting with a touch of more thrilling sex to a deepness of trust that lead to final decisions. This was certainly worth the time, and there was nothing disappointing about the ending.

Third Time is Almost a Charm
If you've already read the first two, you might as well finish reading the series. 50 Shades Freed is no worse than the first two, and the sex scenes are more realistic. The plot is a "mystery" plot, and it's not very orginal, but it reads quickly. Overall, I was not overly impressed, and don't think I'll ever reread them, but I'm no worse off for reading them.

Overall I think this is a great and perfect ending to a perfect trilogy. Well, at least in my opinion, so please don't eat me alive for liking this book. I'm a sucker for cheesy books as you can see, but what can you expect from a Twilight fein? It's a great book, especially if you don’t have anything else to do. If you’re anything like me, you won’t be able to put it down once you get started. It's worth every penny I spent on all 3 books and I'm hoping they don't ruin the upcoming movie.

From all the reviews I've read , I still wanted to get the book myself. This was one of E. L. James first books, so it wasn't that great but it was a good piece. Fifty Shades Freed...What's Up With This?
To me this last book is more about Gray and Ana coming together as one. They test each other and how far they are willing to go for each other. The tug and pull of this relationship is tested to the point you think it is all over. But a family crisis or two can bring anyone back together. Maybe even closer for some. I wonder if their happily ever after will happen or continue on into another book.
Entertaining, keeps bringing me back for more

Fifty Shades Freed From the Repitition! THANK GOODNESS!
Fifty Shades Freed is just a whole lot of fluff and filler with very little climax. It is long and drawn out and is the same ole' same ole'. Christian is a little less screwed up. Ana is a little more screwed up. Everything that we already knew would happen, does. So there aren't any surprises and it was just as repetitive and annoying as the first two books.
• It’s the last book • Questions are answered • Fifty is less abusive

**possible spoilers** If you have read the first two books of the Fifty Shades Trilogy this book is not only better in comparison to the other two, but it also answers some questions that were left unanswered in the first two books. I wouldn't read the first two books without reading the last one. It makes the first two books better knowing how some things were tied together.

I did not like this book at all. Ok, I did a little just because of the story of the couple. 50 Shades Freed was a great ending to the 50 shades trilogy. Other hopeless romantics won't be disappointed. Ana is finally able to make a break through with Christian and he finally comes to terms with his past and his new future. Overall, the books are a great read for vanilla couples and was a good way to introduce new ideas as long as you keep an open mind that this is fiction, just one portrayal of how a BDSM relationship started and how love helped it to become healthy.

For those that have made it to the third book in this trilogy, it is a must read. For someone just picking up the series, I would suggest trying the first two books first because there are elements to the plot and characters that would not be understood without the context of the first two volumes. The sex scenes remain very strong and erotic, though the writing style can grate on you at times. However, if you've made it to the third book you will want to know how it ends.

The characters sucked and the romance sucked, because frankly, there wasn't really any.
I didn't like this book for the characters or BDSM or the romance, or even the sex; only for the story. I can't recommend this, especially if you're new to erotica; this is not the kind of book you want your first experience to be. I don't recommend this to you even if you read a lot of erotica, either, because you probably won't be able to finish it. So I guess I don't recommend it to anyone.
Grey is intriguing; Mildly curious as to what happens in the next book; Witty email conversations

If you like Twilight, stop reading my review and just go read the book. Nothing I say should stop you from reading this book; you'll like it. If you're still reading, I think there is a large demographic of people who are not that comfortable with their own bodies and sexuality, who have trouble expressing their thoughts and feelings about sex. A good summer read and good peek in to BSDM
I was a little disapointed with how the author portrays the BDSM lifestyle. In real life the Dom/me would talk to the sub a lot more about what he wanted of her. He would show her how things needed to be, and then start laying the ground rules for what they were going to do. To me it read like a romance with a little kink thrown in to the mix.
Fifty Shades of Grey is a good read. It does show a small peek in to the BSDM lifestyle.

All Hype, No Substance
I wouldn’t recommend reading Fifty Shades of Grey unless you’re fatally bored and have exhausted all other options. The mania over this book is mainly due to sexual repression, and it's only redeeming quality is that it may help people to realize it's okay to have and explore different sexual proclivities.

The characters are juvenile and shallow. The writing is weak and without revision. You have to be able to enjoy things on a very basic level without much deep probing and thinking to want to keep reading. It's not for me, but if your curiosity is there and you want to read it, then go for it. If you want to understand what it's about then Google it or read about it on Wiki and get the run down. Don't waste your money, borrow it from a friend that read it or go to the library.

Fifty Shades of Grey... I just can't make up my mind about you!
After hearing about this novel for ages, I had to give it a try. It's not completely terrible, but I can see why many people will hate this took. The writing isn't that good, and it doesn't display BDSM relationships well. For those in vanilla relationships, though, they might like it. Me? It's okay, but I won't be re-reading it.

This book is interesting and stimulating and you just might learn something from reading it. While it could have been better written, it has gone the rounds of every female in the family from the 21 year old to the 75 year old and I have not heard one single male family member complain.
It sure revs up the sex life. It is great to read to\with your partner. I learned a few new tricks
the "I love yous", "I can't live without you in my life" got a bit nauseous after the third time.

I personally did not find the book to be as much of a hype as friends had made it out to be. However, I am more into the kinky side of sex already. I can see it being a big deal for those who have vanilla sex (a term that I had learned in the book meaning casual sex). This book will definitely make your panties wet or give you a stiff one. The text of the book is quite large. Unfortunately, you will get through the book pretty fast, due to this so you're best off to buy all three at once.

It is very difficult to read because it is absolutely atrociously written! People say she gets better as you continue, but I don't care. I'm not reading this to see her improvements. Overall it was just okay. It was an easy read and could spark great conversations at the workplace, friends, or even a partner. It could cause the reader to examine their own sexual limits and maybe push them a bit further. Sadly, the female character is portrayed as weak, inexperienced, and at times, an unwilling participant in BDSM. The male character is portrayed as having some baggage, anger, stalker, and control issues that I just found more scary than erotic for most of the book.
Most of the sex scenes are hot, good conversation piece, easy read.

I am only on Chapter 18 right now, but at the rate it is going, and from what I've read so far, I will more than likely give the other two books a try. I just wish that the girl had a little more confidence. Honestly, I feel like any woman should try and get what they feel they deserve, not just wait for it to happen. I know that has nothing to do with the sexuality of the story, but then again, there is always something sexy about a confident woman.

Whereas Fifty Shades of Grey is by far not the best written book ever released, it is by far not the worst. Yes the characters are unbelievable and it is based on a fan fiction but it makes for a great lazy summer read. One of the best things about the book is just how amazingly bad it is; the main character uses the phrase "inner goddess" at least 36 times in the first book alone. If you can get past the concerns I mentioned, the story is engaging because of the innocence of Ana as Mr. Grey introduces her to a world she had known nothing about. Her character is headstrong, knows what she doesn't want, and likes to bargain with Mr. Grey, even though at first glance he is not one to bargain. Just because I have issues with the writing style, that doesn't mean the plot isn't enjoyable. Ultimately, fiction should be entertainment, and on this point it hits a home run.

If you can overlook the juvenile writing style, Fifty Shades of Grey is truly a beautifully written love story. Despite the repetition, the sex scenes are sexy, romantic and even a little kinky. Being unfamiliar in the world of BDSM, I thought the BDSM aspect was pretty tame and there was never a point where I wanted to stop reading. As something that started out as a Twilight fanfiction, I hadn't expected this book to be great, but after hearing all the hype, I just had to read it myself. I'm definitely not the biggest fan. This book is about Anastasia Steele an innocent, plain girl who finds herself in a relationship with Christian Grey, a billionaire who just happens to be into BDSM. Book Two: A Pleasant Surprise
James's growth as a writer is apparent in Book Two of the 50 Shades series, as she walks Christen Grey and Ana Steele through trials and tribulations of their budding relationship. The writing is better, the sex more exciting, and the dynamic more believable. Although I'm still dumbfounded that these have become best-sellers, it was well worth the cover price and if you enjoy erotica, you should give Book Two a shot, as it's much better than the original.

I rarely say this about books: but don't bother. Just don't bother. The first one was okay if you like terribly-written porn, but this one is just outright offensive to BDSM and kink culture and I am thoroughly upset that it's actually out there in society for people to read. While the first book was entertaining despite the many flaws the second wasn't even that. The first book felt like any other cheesy romance novel, nothing special but nothing overly terrible. Book two of the series is just as bad as book one. Christian and Ana are back together, and trying to figure out what they want to do with their lives. Of course it's not easy. Christian has a crazy ex who's on the loose. Ana still doesn't understand relationships. It's all just terrible literature, and I don't think I'll be able to make it through book three without setting the books on fire.

Too Much Grey, Not Near Enough Red.
When hearing about the 50 Shades Trilogy, I was given the impression that the second book is so much better than the first. I disagree, very much so. While the first book was okay and a very easy read, the second book is incredibly boring throughout the first five chapters. There was not enough "Red Room of Pain". This book became popular because of its, so-called, shocking BDSM scenes. This was just way too mild for my tastes.
Gives some hope that there will be more Dom/Sub stuff in the next book.

The writing is worse, the characters are even more shallow and one-dimensional, and the sex scenes are as hot as lukewarm tea. Not so sweet collection of spicy stories — fetishists will adore!
This is the perfect read for couples who want a diverse collection of stories that can point them in sexy new directions in the bedroom, and of course, out of the bedroom too. While I appreciate the well written and well fleshed out stories, overall, I just didn't feel it. It's too divergent; each story is so unlike the other, there are bound to be some I clash with. There are, however, a few that were explosive. I'm sure if you try this one, you'll discover new favorites and fetishes too!

Some "Fast Girls" interspersed with yawns
This collection of erotica has some good stories, but stumbles and falls on too many of them. Although some selections are well written and sexy, there are too many amateurish writings in the book and the collection simply doesn't hold together with a unified theme. It has some bright spots, but Bussel needs to choose the selections more carefully. An attempt to bring erotica into the mainstream which doesn't work out for either mainstream or erotic as a whole.

I found the Letters to Penthouse XXXXII to be pretty unexciting. In theory, it's a good book. There's a good variety of coupling, fetishes, and ways people get off in the book. Infidelity and lack of informed consent in some stories was a mood-killer, for me.

Fire Can Burn You
"Playing with Fire" includes quite a few sexy stories that really include unique plots and different ways of looking at things. However, some of the plots really do toe the line of what is consentual, and with those stories, I find myself more uncomfortable than aroused.

Alison Tyler Plays with Fire and We All Come Out Hot on the Other Side
Alison Tyler gives us a collection of Fire and heat themed Erotica. The subtitle is "Taboo Erotica." Cuckolding, Threesomes, Humiliation, Bondage and Domination Submission and a moderate sprinkling of just the right amount of pain, added to a great deal of Pleasure makes this collection of stories a good read for those interested in "Taboo Erotica" or just plain old good Kink. The cover picture alone could sell this book, and liking that, one won't be disappointed with the contents.
Good erotica, BDSM and Kink oriented, mostly well written stories, varying authors
May be too intense for some, mainly hetero couples and triads

Let Fire Get You Hot
Playing With Fire is a collection of short stories that all involve, well, playing with fire. Save for one story that the editor uses to 'cool everything off' at the end. Every story is well written and more focused on the experience and the journey rather than the act itself.
Very well written stories, a variety of scenarios.
There could have been more stories.

Interesting, but uneven
I know that I can't help comparing this to 50 Shades of Grey, as I do often throughout this review. So the following has to be said. While I can understand why this book is considered more well written it's not as intriguing. There is also even less BDSM than the other series. I consider it to be a decent but not mind blowing read.
A good length, hot sex scenes, multi-dimensional characters.
Abusive flashback sequences

If you liked Fifty Shades of Grey, I wouldn't recommend reading this. It's the same story line with a few tweaks. If you like a love story with good sex scenes, by all means read it. I wouldn't buy this book though.

Well It's Definitely Bare(d)...
It's a hot, fast read with a faster plot that somehow ends up not going anywhere. If you're looking for something unique and thought-provoking, this is probably not it. But if you're looking for a fun, "one-handed read," look no further.
Swoon-worthy scenes; Good writing.

A Nice Setup for the Second Book...
Whether or not you liked the 50 Shades series is inconsequential. This book may have a few similarities, but it is not the same story. The writing is better; the sex is better...I just wish it packed more of an emotional punch. It will...in book two.
Great sex scenes, dirty talk, female protagonist with a backbone.
Unsatisfying ending, 335 page setup for book two.

My Panties and My Head Disagree
The perfect book for those who are truly into BDSM and can't seem to find a hard enough edge in other books offered by Eden. However, there is no variation from this theme. Many of the stories could be turn offs for those who enjoy light BDSM but don't believe in absolute submission. Is this BDSM or just outright disrespect of one's partner? Is BDSM solely about humiliation? This book suggests it. Still, my brain was mad, but my panties were wet.

Great Gift Idea!
This book makes a great gift, whether for your lover or for a friend. It works well on its own, and doesn't necessarily need to be part of a gift basket, though grouping it with other goodies and novelties would certainly make a great bachelorette, wedding, anniversary, or birthday gift.
This book contains great photography, of hunky men in a domestic setting!

Is it a good read? Yes. Is it erotica? Well... no. Silk, by British author Rupert James is an exciting, easy to read, sinfully delicious book, but is truly lacking in the erotic department. Descriptive scenes of sex are few and far between, and, while diverse, they left me desiring more.

Although I don't recall reading any stories of man on man sex in this book, Dirty Girls showcases a variety of men and women of different personalities, genders, and sexual orientations. Some of the characters are left basically undefined in gender, which makes the book and the sex more mysterious. In addition, masculinity and femininity are played with between both the male and female genders. This book is really a mix of tricks, sex, and a surprisingly sexy read.
+Over 25 Stories. +Will appeal to a wide audience of different genders and sexual orientations.
-Not necessarily appealing to homosexual males. -Boring Intro.

Fairy Tales for Adults
This was not what I was hoping for when I ordered a book full of erotic fairy tales. That said, I have found it to be intriguing. It offers a new twist on traditional stories. If your looking for something with explicit language and is quite erotic this book probably won't satisfy. If you prefer having things more implied or if you are more interested in the history of fairy tales you will probably enjoy this book.

The author presents each protagonist as touchingly innocent and yet open to the bawdy, erotic adventure that befalls them. In Sleeping Beauty's Bed is a collection of erotic re-imaginings of classic fairy tales, accompanied by a history and background on the origin of each story. While it may not be particularly thrilling for those seeking outright erotic and vividly sexual writing, it would be very well suited for those just beginning to read erotica that are looking for a softer introduction to the genre while not being bored by the same old sexual scenarios.
