Violet Blue is a well-known erotica author, blogger, and lecturer. She has published several books and edited anthologies, including others for Cleis Press. She's well known for editing many of the "Best Women's Erotica" series.

Sweet Confessions is a nice mix of erotic stories about fantasies that should appeal to most couples. There is a good mix of styles and scenarios, and this book, like most anthologies, has a little of something for everyone! (The stories are geared towards heterosexual couples, so keep that in mind.) There is nothing too hardcore/kinky/fetish here to scare people off, although some scenarios, like age play, do push the limits of being totally taboo for some people. Spanking, shaving, and corset-wearing are all things that 'regular' people want to, can, and will do. Overall, this collection does present some adventurous fantasies.

Anthologies are great to pick and choose stories to read with your partner to jump start things, or alone for a little masturbation material. This one is no exception.

Sweet Confessions is a trade paperback size book, with a sexy-sweet cover. The cover photo of a whispered secret is sexy but not obscene. The subtitle does read "erotic fantasies for couples" so it's not totally discreet, but it would be easy enough to take out in public.
As with all Cleis Press books, this one is well-constructed, a great size, and easy to handle.
