Sharen Duke, Executive Director of the AIDS Service Center NYC, sits down with our own Drew Griffiths to discuss ASC’s goals, obstacles and progress. She offers a brief history of ASC’s humble beginnings 19 years ago, and the organization's evolution into its current roster of peer educators, who in 2008 alone, performed over 4,000 community prevention programs. Duke also addresses the dire need for the public to reject complacency, and instead, embrace the cause of continued education and awareness.
