Not for me. I like to breath.

My brother Bill once started choking me because I stabed him in the knee with a sharp pencil because he was being all sorts of awful to me while I was trying to do my homework, calling me names and stuff. I can't say I enjoyed the lack of breath. Nor would I ever like to experience that again, especially during sex.

We love it! We have even used belts to add to the sensation. We are looking for other things to use now

I'm not interested in doing it or having it done at all. It just doesn't interest me and it's too much of a safety issue.

I'm surprised at how many people are into this. I'm not looking down on anyone who enjoys it, just surprised that it's almost 50/50 in the poll. It's never been an interest for either of us.

I don't know, I have met people who are really into this, but I'm not sure I would be. I guess if a partner suggested it, I'd be willing to try it for a short time, but nothing too intense. Definitely don't want to lose consciousness or really not be able to breathe or anything like that. It's not something that I fantasize about, or think about requesting.

The problem with choking is that there isn't really a way to do it properly. There is no way to tell how much is too much. Any signs of trauma appear after it is too late. There is no way to reverse if you accidently go to far in the heat of the moment.

I believe in risk aware consentual kink. People who practice choking need to be aware that the very real risk of this play is death for the bottom and prison for the top. That is not a risk I am willing to take.

I trust my husband and I know he would never get out of hand. We have our safety "words" and ways of letting each other know to take it easy. And anyway, it takes it to a whole other level.

I've enjoyed it in the past, but lately I've been re-evaluating some of the things my ex did to me, mostly in the context of ignoring me when I indicated it was time to stop (and not just with taps - with things like trying to tear his hands off my throat and crying). He choked me beyond what I wanted several times, and would sometimes choke me without seeing if I wanted something hard, or if I just wanted gentleness that night. I choked him a few times, which I enjoyed doing, but I always stopped when he indicated he had had enough.

So... I haven't had sex since the divorce, so I don't know if I'm still comfortable with breath play. Part of me is worried it would trigger a flashback to one of the times my ex assaulted me, though I didn't recognize it for assault at the time.

I like to give it a little, not too rough just enough to be firm and give my partner the sensation she wants, occasionally i do nose plugging during oral sex too.

Good idea making the voting private! I would prefer to not have my name advertised with my answer ^_^

I love erotic asphyxiation. I like for it to be enough to cause a lot of trouble breathing or a complete lack for a few seconds.

No thank you. Also, nothing that could kill me, please.

Now a hand over the mouth to muffle the screams is a different story.

I enjoy some choking, but not enough that I risk losing consciousness or anything like that.
