Do you think of your BDSM life when purchasing a bed?

I think I will. I want one with bedposts for sure.

Honestly I didn't but the bed I purchased lends itself to great possibilities. Wondering if somewhere in the back of my head I wasn't thinking it but I just love the solid wood look with beautiful designs. We bought a bed with a canopy top but the entire bed is solid wood and heavy duty-the canopy included. It has four swirls from each bedpost that leads to intricately engraved loops at the center great for tying or holding onto and still strong enough to handle it. The bedposts are a bit too thick for standard length straps but it's an easy fix. The footboard is solid and just high enough to bend over perfectly and the head board is so heavily engraved that you can use the design for an extra hold when needed.

I love our bed.

Maybe. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

I actually do. I love purchasing bed posts and extravagant long hanging drapes that go on beds, like those canopies. It just excites me. AND it has to be a hugeeeee bed. We are talking like a california king or as big as I can get it. I am such a bed hog and blanket hog, it must be big. LOL

nope. I purchased a bed that was made in my town, one with a 20 year warranty, and one made from solid hard wood.

We got our bed because it was sleek and modern, but it doesn't work really well for BDSM because it has no posts or really anything that you can attach to it. It's just a solid wood frame. I love the way the bed looks though and we just use under the bed restraints instead of posts so it worked out okay.

I'm definitely going to take it into consideration if we buy another bed.

We definitely had requirements for our bed frame when purchasing it. Totally had to have bed posts, and then the frame had to either have bars, or some sort of framework that things could be tied to in the head and footboard.
