We're open to our friends, but not so much family. My mom knows we're somewhat kinky, but not to the extent that we are. I think she'd be freaked out. She's run across our restraints. We try to shield her from our overall lifestyle. We don't wave our relationship in friends' faces either, but they know far more than my mom does.

Not really, although I make jokes about riding crops and slave collars. One of my friends (best friend from high school, no less) is the only one who knows about the extent of my relationship with former-Master, and she said, "You were always kinky. My friends and siblings, yes. Most of them are too, so it's a common interest. My Mother knows to a certain extent but doesn't want or need to hear any details.

My friends do. They are as well. I'd feel weird not being able to openly talk to friends about everything. Family, well, they don't really need to know that stuff.

Friends, if they're people who are comfortable with that. My sibling and I can sometimes talk about complex identity stuff without getting into relationship specifics.
I have a flogger and a crop hanging on my bedroom wall. I don't really feel like taking them down when my mom comes to visit, though I doubt she'll call attention to them. I guess I'll see.

My friends know that I'm open to talking about things, but I generally don't kiss and tell. Close friends, I will answer questions, or offer guidance on things involving THEM, but not really myself. If that makes any sense
