In a few weeks, I'm about to play around in an arena I've never been in before: light bondage. Never even aproached it before to be honest, and we've already been planning. I'm allowed to say stop, but I was wondering what the rest of you had to say. What should I know now?

keep an eye on the limbs or parts of you that are bound for signs of poor circulation. the area will turn blueish.
Also, make sure your patner has a pair of safety sisors in case you need to be released quickly.
oh one more thing. watch out for binding the arms. particularly the radial nerve...
you can find this on the internet by searching bondage safety

Make sure to have a pair of bandage scissors on hand at all times when playing with rope, and follow the "two finger" rule - two fingers must fit under all areas of rope comfortably. Do not tie rope around the joints, try to stay on areas where there's more 'meat,' and stay away from the neck, for now.
Also, what type of "bondage" do you mean? Do you mean rope bondage?

Yeah, find some safety information. Nerve damage is the worst that could happen. Ensure that you can fit a couple of fingers under the rope and keep scissors on hand in case of an emergency. EMT shears are good because you can get under the rope without the risk of cutting skin.

Since others covered the safety aspects, my advice is just to enjoy it. Almost all times, it's entirely safe and can be enjoyable, since the partner being bound can let go completely. Don't take it too seriously on the first time, since mistakes will probably be made
