For us restraints alone don't do much. We typically incorporate blindfolds, teasing, impact (paddles, floggers, etc.) and sensation props (like the feathers, makeup brushes, Wartenberg wheel, etc.).

The restraints and blindfold are used to build anticipation - going back and forth between intense stimulation and none - or very light. The key is to mix it up so that your partner doesn't know what's coming next.

Mix in things you know they like - with things that are completely new - or things that they may not like, but are willing to tolerate.

A lot of people mix in things like high-heels, corsets, stockings w/garters and other forms of lingerie - in a dominatrix fashion. We don't, but it would be fun to try.

Thanks for the ideas. My wife is pretty excited about this and i want to make it live up to her desires. I like the teasing thing. That will definitely be a good way to start!

We tried some restraints and it was average. Then we stumbled into this during a massage and it made all the difference.

I was working on her shoulder blade area and took her wrist and moved it behind her to get to the muscles under the blade. Normally I just let her hold the arm there but I held her wrist there while I worked on her back. When I did it on the other side, she commented how she liked how I took control. That was the thing we were missing with the restraints. Just using them doesn't do it. It's about the control. You can do lots with that with cuffs, commands, telling her to do specific things, etc.

Have fun!
