I plan on buying my first paddle soon for my SO to use on me, he is highly wanting to do this sort of thing, and I'd like for it to leave a mark...I'm going to get one that leaves the word or shape there If I'm going to go I'm going to go all out!

When I'm in the mood for impact, average to hard without marks. It depends on the implement, though. I like my canes gentle, and my crops, paddles, and slappers harder.
