I haven't been and have no interest in going. I can have all the fun I want where I choose and with whom I choose - I don't need or want a group of potentially unwanted people participating in that or being voyeurs.

I haven't been to any "play parties" and I'm not all that curious. I prefer private settings with participants I know and am comfortable with/trust.

I'm really curious, but parties in someone's private home would make me more uncomfortable, I wouldn't feel particularly safe unless we were already good friends. A more public venue would feel safer and more comfortable to me. But another concern I'd have would be rules and boundaries, explicit and implicit -- obviously I shouldn't do do anything to anyone they don't consent to and want to have occur, or make any other guests take part in anything they're reluctant to. It sounds like many play parties have specific rules on what kind of play's okay out in the open/in specific areas. But I'd worry about breaking a less clear taboo or making someone uncomfortable if I didn't know all the guests' specific boundaries, even though we're all there to have a good time.

I love play parties! The BDSM group in my town has a weekly play party for members, and I love developing friendships with my playmates, and sharing toys and experience. It enhances the whole experience.

I attend them constantly and love them in pretty much all venues. I like to be included in the intimate moments of others and draw people into my own scenes. I also like attending as my partner and I have skills in certain arenas that aren't horribly common and we get to share them with others so that they get to experience the fun.
