I actually don't usually like such masks at all unless it's a pony one for pony play. I'm into kitten play so I prefer a pair of kitty ears, paws, and a tail.
I love hoods in general but unless I wanted to use a hood in a pet play scene I would rather see the persons face (with the possible exception of animal like face paint or small latex prosthetic pieces if it's for a photo shoot).
