Tightlacing?

Contributor: Madeira Madeira
Tight-lacing is the practice of modifying the ribcage with steel boned corsets, does anyone on EF have any experience with this? Is anyone into it? It's a major kink of mine and I'm interested in lacing my own waist down, but starting out can be a bit difficult, so I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it?

I don't do it personally, but I have researched it a bit. Be sure you understand first the possible consequences (can move and affect organs and bone structure, possibly leading to organ failure). Also, its worth it to spend the money and have a corset custom-made for you. Pretty much anything you would find in the store probably won't work. And check youtube.com as they have lots of videos of how to make a foam body double, which is the best way to make a corset to your exact size without having to get on a plane and be personally fitted.

Thank you, I do own a few custom corsets, they're lovely... so far all I can't figure out is how to sleep in them

I used to REALLY want to tightlaceing 24/7, but in all honesty I didn't really think it would be a healthy choice considering I want to have kids and all... I wasn't really sure how it affect my fertility. I do really really want to own a nice custom corset for wear though.

I would slowly build up to tight lacing. Starting with 4-6 hours a day, or even less until you feel comfortable wearing it for long periods of time. It's not about how tight you can get it, it's about being comfortable enough to do everyday things while wearing a corset, and once you feel comfortable you can begin to tighten it more and more as your body gets used to it.
