I was interested in kinky ideas before I started having sex.
01/02/2013
I was kinky before I knew what it was. =]

No way

I guess.
I didn't do kinky things with other people, but I had kinky thoughts (but just didn't know they were regarded as "kinky" by others) and didn't know I was doing kinky things
Me and my partners never did anything kinky until I realized what kink was, though

Personally, I was born kinkier than a twisted garden hose but my Mistress/Owner was once my live-in vanilla girlfriend. She always had a knack for a discriminating taste and a desire to be in control... my submissive mindset had a realization one day: jackpot!
After rehearsing my thoughts a bit I gathered up as much trust and courage as I could and opened up to Her about my desires. To my delight, She fancied the idea and started reading up on Femdom and Female-Led Relationships.
We started slowly and stuck to only bedroom play at first. It took plenty of training time but soon enough I had proven that I wanted to serve and please Her- sexually, domestically, and romantically on a 24/7 Lifestyle basis.
She went from vanilla to Mistress in the course of about 3-4 months became my Owner within a year.
Coming out to a vanilla partner is worth it is if one is well prepared to do so. Just remember that a lover will, at the very least, be open enough to listen to what you have to say.

I started out unexperienced, though I was looking to get into kink. He started out pretty much completely vanilla.

Wtf does "vanilla" mean?

Non-kinky. Like vanilla ice cream! Think missionary or one or two other positions. "Vanilla" people tend to think even the really light BDSM is mega-kinky or shameful.

I was kind of vanilla with my current. I had a rough sexual past when I was just learning about my own sexuality, and that turned me off of any kind of sex play for a long time. Now that I'm with somebody I trust completely and love with my whole heart, I can explore myself. So, we started out with the very vanilla things, and it wasn't until I researched into it that I realized I love kink.

Oh thats what it means Then my answer is fuck no on all levels xD I embrace the kinky.

Nope. We Got Together Because We Were Both Looking For A BDSM Relationship.

nothing wrong with being vanilla... my hubby was even though he didnt see the truth underneath... he is my dom... and he is respectable because of the fact he was a vanilla.. he knows to pay attention to my reactions and to learn what is good for me and him both... it gets kinda scary sometimes as he wakes up a little more, but he always tries to back off if it gets too much

Yup, one of us did, but we're learning.

I'd say we were both vanilla on the outside and hid our kink for a long time.

He was always vanilla, will always be vanilla. He has no interest in anything related to BDSM or kinks.

He was a virgin so for the first few times we stayed vanilla. I introduced things slowly to him and it took off from there. Most of the time we will have a little bit of kink and safe the big stuff for when we have a lot of free time to play.
