Silicone is also a material that you can 100% sterilize. You can put it in boiling water and leave it for 3-5 minutes and pull out a sterile toy.
My vote, invest in Silicone.
Oh and also, if Eden hadn't have taken one of their rope bondage books off the site I'd recommend you check out that book. Instead, go to TwoKnottyBoys.com and check out their free downloads.

I would say no, it's not worth it. In my view, rubber is not a good material choice. First, it taste yucky. This is not good considering a ball gag goes in your mouth. Second, rubber is extremely porous. Eww, there is no way to sanitize it. As others have suggested, I would also recommend a reasonably sized silicone gag.

What you need to get you is a silicone gag. Silicone doesn't leave an after taste. I have 4 different gags and they are all silicone.
Silicone is also a material that you can 100% sterilize. You can put it in boiling water and leave it for 3-5 minutes and pull out a sterile toy.
My vote, invest in Silicone.
