I know this is a post from a while back, and you've probably made some decision since, but maybe it will help someone else.

I have had a lot of experience with male chastity devices. Particularly the CB3000 and the Birdlocked Neo. I CANNOT overstate how much they will improve your relationship if you're with the right partner. Males become incredibly attentive, sweet and more focused on providing their partners with pleasure. Needless to say though, you both need to want the experience and educate yourselves about it.

I don't think there's such a thing as a "light chastity device", but there definitely are some products that are more hardcore hardcore than others on the market. I recommend avoiding anything with spikes or rings around the shaft of the penis if you're not turned on by pain. All devices are going to ramp up your experience the longer you have it on. So take one on a trial run for a day or two first to get the hang of it. That's what I would consider light chastity play. It's great fun!

The Birdlocked line of devices is known for its comfort, but be sure to measure your penis accurately to get the right one, and don't overlube.

The CB series is great too, but as it is hard plastic and has multiple tiny parts, it definitely has it's downsides. The parts can pinch the skin and tug on hairs when you put it on, you can lose them easily or they can break. The good thing is you can buy replacement parts fairly cheaply and it has no trouble at all being securely locked in place.

I recommend googling several chastity device names and reading lots of reviews before you decide which one is right for you. There are also many chastity forums that have tons of info. I hope you have fun!
