Depends on the attire. Latex is very hot! But doesn't breath making it not something I try to gather (I have a hatred of polyester). Leather is awesome, breaths and can last forever if you get a quality piece.

Generally speaking, I prefer leather. This would hold true, even if I was choosing a sofa.
