So, apparently I've discovered that I get all hot and bothered when it comes to medical things. I've collected a good amount of little things to fit that, but I know there's more out there.

Here's what I already have:
Pinwheel
Forceps
Mandible clamps
Straight jacket
Shock Therapy kit
Handmade black sating surgical mask
Big box of gloves
Neon Wand
Psych ward restraints

But is there anything else that I'm missing that would help to complete a medical scene? I'm not really into speculums even though they'd go. I'm contemplating one as a prop. I have lady parts so sounding stuff isn't up my alley.

I was thinking of going to a drug store and peeking at their things.

You can buy needles and syringes at the local tack/farmer's co-op! (Though I don't recommend using needles on your partner without training/understanding of anatomy.) Stethescopes and BP cuffs are also not terribly expensive on ebay.

We'd discussed trying to get the thing they use to hold a lady open when they do internals, smears etc... but we've no idea what it's called! x

Ace bandages, the long tan strip kind. Those can be pretty fun to take care of your sweet little 'injured patient' (and as restraints too, added bonus xD ).
Then there's always stuff like dental gags and vet wrap (pretty much the same uses as ace bandages but they come in prettier colors).

I would get a speculum just as a prop. Personally I am into them and use them frequently. But if you're not into them then....you're not into them. They do help set the mood though.

Another toy you might try, if you can find a cheap one, is an exam table. There are lots out there.
