Older you get, the more you keep celebrating the SAME one..over and over and over. Usually 29!!!!

I will go out to dinner with my family sometime during that week but that is about the extent of it.

I celebrate when my college classwork allows. Sadly my b-day comes up the week before finals (when they assign a ton of papers). So usually I spend it studying the past few years.
I at least get myself something sweet to put a candle in. Last year I used a mini cherry pie

I'm a party pooper. I don't mind a cake, but that's all the festivities I want.

In my family, we celebrate birthdays by making or buying whatever the birthday person eats, and french cream puffs. Sometimes we might invite other family members, like how I did this year, but it's a lot of work.

Ever since I turned 13 I stop caring about my birthday. I do something small every year.

I didn't really celebrate my birthday for the past 2 years, but a friend took matters into their own hands last year and stole me for a night. @_@ With the upcoming birthday being my 21st.... I haven't a clue what will happen.

My close family likes to do the whole cake and gifts deal for me but aside from that I haven't had a birthday party since I was...12 I think. I just prefer not to celebrate my own birthday, seems like just another day for me.

At the least I'll hang out with a couple of people, most of the time I will go out, but nothing too crazy, a few drinks and some fun.

My explanation is very simple...

As I see it, in the whoooooole bigbig everything (aka universe) everything is related, and there are soooooooooo many things we just don't see/know about...!

And as everything is filled with this great web of life and existence going through everything, then a lot of things are more special then we think sometimes...

Birthdays are kind of milestones, as your age makes changes in your inner world (some say each year is ruled by the different main energy centers (chakras) of yours, effecting your growth of soul) - so it is something serious and big and magickal - like equinoxes for example, making bigbig changes in nature over the year, effecting everybody's and everything's life - so they are celebrated, big occasions existing nowadays (like Christmas, Halloween, Easter) originate from ancient "pagan" celebrations and traditions of knowledge - so they celebrated them...

Cause what would life be if you didn't try to make the best out of it, and enjoy it as often as possible?

So birthdays?

CELEBRATE IT!!!

Have some fun cause you never know when you can have your next enjoyable moments!

Even if the pleasures of it are only a load of toys your love allows you to get for your birthday - enjoy it as much as you humanly can!!!

I feel the same way, but then I remind myself that the day I came into this world is worth celebrating! I think everyone should celebrate their birthday.

Usually have a very small thing, if anything. Mostly spend birthday efforts on the kids these days.

I always do something. sometimes its small like cake or a card. I have a best friend who is a triplet and lost her brother when we were 17. He passed away right after my birthday, but we both still make an effort to so something on our birthdays.

I normally party it up but I'm getting too old for that. I will be 33 on Friday the 3rd and being pregnant means no party . Maybe some virgin cocktails and such.

I have to force my partner to celebrate tho. She thinks its just another day. It is hard to understand but I respect it too...maybe just a drink at a bar is good for her.

I always celebrate! I know people think that when you get older it's childish, but I only get 1 day per year that is "about me" so I'm taking it!! Are your friends Jehovas Wittnesses? I used to work with a girl that was, and I know they aren't allowed to celebrate birthdays per their religion, which seems strange to me.

I always celebrate my birthday! I like having all the spotlight one day out of the year. And then go back to being my normal quiet self after.
