I browse a bit to look at new, interesting or items I may be interested in trying and wishlist them. I then use my downtime to read the reviews on the products and weed out the ones I really do not want. Then when it is time to order, I decide what to get based on points available, cash available and what my husband and I want to try out the following weekend. Then I fill in the gaps with my impulse purchases to round up to the free shipping.

There have been a couple of times that sales have determined what I have purchased. Those times were complete impulse buys!!

I sort by size first, weed out anything that is realistic, then pick my favorite magereial, and by price of course.

At this point I've got most all of the basics that I want so I'm usually looking for either something that fills a specific niche or something that looks like it does something better than anything else. Generally I'm pretty picky about materials, shape, and size when it comes to picking something out, price and color are more secondary concerns but often make the choice between two or three toys easier.

The first thing I look at is what batteries it takes. I can't do anything but rechargable or AA or AAA. So if I have to buy new batteries, it doesn't matter how amazing the toy is, I won't be able to use it.
Then I look at material, if it's a rating of 2 safety, it's an instant no for that as well.
Also, waterproof, you never know what could happen, and it's better to be safe than sorry.
After that, just size, power, and personal preferences. :]

First I consider what I know I like and what I want to explore. Then I set a price range and look for toys keeping in mind things like dildo vs vibrator, power source and material.

Well I generally click on any new toys that look visually interesting. I then rule some out based on price, power, quality. I've tried so much, I feel underwhelmed at what's left out there

We always have a list of things we're wanting. I try and mix it up, if we got a rabbit-style vibrator last time, this time we might get a glass toy, just to keep things interesting.

It definitely depends on what you're purchasing, anything from material to the shape as well as if the product is easy to use. I also tend to like the "pretty" toys

I pick them based on material, size, power supply, color, texture, price and whether they are waterproof.
