I get so frustrated when students do that, then I end up cancelling the class to let more students in, and I have like 6 or 7 of those on my page. I ... more
At this time, there really isn't anything we can do. I know that JR sends messages out when an assignment is overdue so the student would most likely get a message reminding them. Whether they come back or not is out of the mentors hands.

Pretty much. Thanks sktb, awesome as always!

I don't remember if this has been mentioned previously, but a draft/preview mode for review editing would be helpful as both an editor and mentor. For me it's a lot easier to check for formatting and images when the code is not visible.

I'm not sure exactly how this post works, or if someone else has suggested this before, but in reviews I'd like to see a meter (similar to the stars, Vroom or Buzz meters) to show quality in relation to price, with like a rating of 1 would mean that it's not worth anything, ranging up to 5 being worth every penny or more.
The only problem I would see with this is the items that people get for free, and even then there could be an option to say 'not available', or the contributor who posts the review could rate it anyways and just make a note that they didn't pay for the item, but that they think it is/isn't worth the price that the item is listed for.

But if you use the EF photo uploader to upload pictures in a review, the pictures are uploaded on to the product page as well. And you don't get any points for uploading this way, even though they go directly to the product page.

Unless I'm missing something...you only get points for uploading pictures directly from the product page, not inside a review, correct?

I would like to be able to organize my inbox of messages and have a save folder. That way I can save my opening student message and other messages that I use over and over again.

Another vote for Android app!

This is a great idea too!

I'd like that, too. Sometimes people are just coming by to say hi (more of you should do that by the way, always happy to chat!) but I mostly get questions I have to respond to and there's an order in which I respond to things, so yeah totally on board with that suggestion.

I'd like to see something about down voting. I am still seeing really good reviews getting down voted, including one of my own. It is hard to get rank up when this happens.

Maybe when someone down votes, a reason should be specified to prevent them from down voting out of spite or for no reason. I see that voting is anonymous now so you cannot see who down voted you. How are we supposed to know, if there is a legitimate reason, what they are voting low on?

I mentioned the folder thing last month, but it must have been overlooked. I think it's a great idea and would make things a lot easier.

Huge improvements that I would like to see:

Ability to search individual toy types while looking for something to review
Ability to sort by number of reviews/pending reviews
A "manly" version of the site. I get that the majority of community members are women... but the ability to hit a switch in preferences and turn the site into a more masculine (not everything being pink and lime green) version would be amazing.

Interesting on the "manly" suggestion. (Did you know the company is owned by a man?) We've considered having different template designs in the past and other projects have taken precedence, but it's something we can revisit.

Along with the folder suggestion...

After the thread I just commented in....link. There really needs to be some kind of rating system for the Classifieds. Some place where buyers can rate the seller and potential buyers can be saved from more scamming. This isn't the first post I have seen like this either. I don't want to see the Classifieds go away because of a few bad seeds.
