Are you referring to real post crossing or cyber post crossing (i.e., e-cards)?
I was just posting the post about a group doing this. I thought it was real life post.

I like the idea and have no problem if it were to be sent by mail-I am not to worried about someone coming to my door. But i wonder how many would be comfortable with allowing their address to be known

I really like the idea, but I think that unless we can find a way to do e-cards, a lot of people won't want to participate due to wanting to keep their anonymity.
I like the idea of doing this as e-cards, especially if it can be done in conjunction with holiday parties/birthday shout-outs

Yours is fine, don't worry. And if they get sent to me, I'll just pass them on to her.

Well, it's a lot more work for one person but on another forum we did a CD swap where all the CDs went to a central person who was okay with having an address (sometimes they just rented a PO box) listed and that person sent everything to the appropriate places; that way only one person instead of 10 had your address.

In the case of the other website, the website owner used her own PO box, but maybe something LIKE that could be incorporated here?

Hi everyone, I'm late and catching up! And now I'm hungry.

I don't know that post crossing would work well, what with the need for home addresses and all, but e-cards could work. They could be open to anyone on the internet too or linked with Facebook, too so that people outside the EF community could use them (and be introduced to EF in the process). Kinky Cards does something similar, but EF could be far, far better.

I won't drone on. I've talked about this before.

Did I miss something? Does Carrie Ann want write ups on our workshops?

- Read and chime in on the thread.
- Think about ways that we can start an organized club and work together to give back.
- We will be revisiting this idea!

Submit to Sam. Once approved, then they go to Carrie Ann. Sorry to be confusing!

If I recall the postage on the envelope correctly, it cost about $3/person to mail with mediamail in a padded envelope with eight CDs in it, we all sent her money via paypal to cover shipping (we each sent $5 but she had leftover money so we donated it at the end)

Yes, but that's super hard to coordinate and manage; you need to have a serious deadline, you have to have all the addresses floating around, have to deal with Itunes DRM protections stopping you from making more than 5 CDs... It was a mess but a fun mess.
