Content, that is relevant and supportive to your club. Everyone's club is different so ideas will vary.

We'll see whether it works, first. It will look really cool and fairly professional if the gorilla glue does what I think it will. If not, I've got a crap-load of duct tape

No no, I mean each CD on a mass scale. I only caught that one comment. I assumed one cd would be exchanged for another single one?
Yes, but if you're swapping with, say, 10 different people, that's kind of a mass scale already.

Cervical cancer and also Prostate Cancer. Guys can get cancer in their fun places too

Just an idea for a workshop: book-binding. There are a bunch of writers here, and book-binding is pretty easy. I did it today for the first time. Well, I think it's easy anyway. We'll see in a few hours.
I think that would be cool even for artists that would be a handy bit of knowledge. Make a book of sketches and the like.

But duct tape is so convenient and has so many uses!

I'm afraid to go backwards (lest I rip open a space/time continuum) to find the post about the bookbinding workshop but that sounds really really cool!

Point taken. I just hate to see breast cancer get all the love at the expense of other cancers (I love boobies, don't get me wrong)

Breast cancer also applies to both men and women.

Eden Gives Back What about supporting local shelters for battered women around the country? Kind of like what happened with the Holiday thing, only for shelters.

Just looked up the CD thing. What I found is that it's not illegal under the Fair Use doctrine.

A small amount of copies made for educational, non-profit, or back up purposes is completely legal unless the CD specifically states otherwise which some do now.

A lot of people aren't aware of the risk factors and even how to detect that there's something wrong. There is more awareness out there for breast cancer than there is for cervical and prostate cancers.

Yes. I am not personally condemning this, I am just letting you know that it is not legal. On a small scale I doubt you would ever have a problem, but as part of a Club hosted by Eden, it could be a bit thing.

Actually, is there any organized fundraising for cervical cancer? That might not be a bad outlet for Eden Gives Back.
What about rather than CD's and such where you'd have the potential for copyright stuff... what about a book or erotic works/poetry written by members here? I read those stories from "Eden Lit" and there are some really good authors here.

This could also work for prostate cancer awareness too...

I looked it up. 10 isn't considered mass. If you are selling, that is a different story.

So the idea was to swap with more than one person at a time?

Yeah, but they are certainly slanted heavily towards women. My wife is a oncology practitioner, and she sees man far less frequently.

Or letters/postcards, I saw someone trying to get a post card thing going

Agreed. It's definitely lower frequency in men. Another idea would be testicular cancer. That might apply to the EF community more than prostate since that tends to be only after a certain age.

I don't know that it would ever work here on EF, I brought it up in relation to the postcard swappy thing about how we sent them all to one central person and then they distributed it so that the addresses were only with one person rather than ten.

I suppose you could get in trouble for promoting it? That would be lame.
