A Chicken Dinner In Every Pot...

Presidents and their promises of chickens.

(The internet just told me that H. Hoover never actually spoke those words, and that they came up in the French Revolution?)

I really want chicken now, regardless.

Chicken for dinner just does not sit well with me. Of course, I never have put much faith in political promises.

I'm still kinda sick, so I just keep munching on Chicken of the Sea, which is much less prep work.

Boil water for noodles, strain tuna, strain noodles, add some chopped celery that I chopped when I first realized I was on my way to being sick, add a bunch of chili powder, pretend it's a meal!

That sounds pretty good actually. I might add some jalapeno's to spice it up more. I always like hot spicy food when sick.

Hope you get feeling better soon. for you.

It's been a long time for me too. Tuna and spinach sandwiches with lentil soup were my lunch staple the last summer of high school... and I really hadn't eaten any since then. But I only get sick for more than half a day like every 3 or 4 years. It's good restore-your-health-wi thout-cooking-a-lot food.

Thanks! back but without giving away germs!

The chili powder I add is actually a blend from Ethiopia (I buy it in quart containers, makes the most amazing spicy stew)... so it's got a kick! Basically that's my secret if I'm ever feeling lazy but still want a good meal. Mitmita or berbere and you're golden.

I had always thought it was a campaign promise of Herbert Hoover's. Many parts of the internet agreed, but a few told me I was wrong. I don't know what to believe.

Er , "A car in every garage and a chicken in every pot!" is what was attributed to ol' Herb.
