I LOVE sushi! I can't make my own, yet. I'd love to take a class on how to make sushi. That would be so fun!

My son and I love it - wife and stepson no. We have a fantastic sushi buffet near us - over 40 rolls, sashimi, hand rolls, raw bar - it's awesome!

we did our own at home once, it came out good! We really need a mato to roll, though.

I love this stuff as well, especially with a good Japanese beer.

I just ate sushi today! It's quite easy to make at home, as long as you purchase pre-frozen sashimi grade fish.

I'd had cooked sushi before, but recently I had the raw form of sushi. I know there must be specific words for this, but I don't know them and am too lazy to look them up at the moment.

Anyway, hubs tried it while he was out with some workmates. He came home and told me how much he liked it. Shortly after he took me to get sushi and advised to just not think about what I was eating (I have a paranoia of raw meat). He was right, if I didn't think about it being raw it was very tasty.

Why do people equate sushi with raw fish? The second post in this discussion mentions cooked and vegetarian sushi.

I don't like fish really, but I have come across some sushi I like, it's definitely grown on me since I first tried it.

I tend to go through periods of sushi cravings and then I want to eat SO MUCH SUSHI. x_x

Not that it's a bad thing because I love sushi.

OK, the one thing I could name "that sounds even a little bit appealing" is, raw FISH! Try either Hamachi (yellow tail tuna) or Sake (salmon); they are fantastic!!

But if you ever had salmon lox, it is cured fish almost on the raw side.

OK, the one thing I could name "that sounds even a little bit appealing" is, raw FISH! Try either Hamachi (yellow tail tuna) or Sake (salmon); they are fantastic!!

But if you ever had salmon lox, it is cured fish almost on the raw side.
