That'd be awesome. Still like, a year away, but if there's something that's a super duper great deal that can fit in our storage unit that's running out of space, it might be worth getting it earlier lol.

Lol. When we started combining our stuff it wasn't so bad. He's still got stuff at his parents because we live with mine while we're saving for a house. I was impressed when we combined our movie collections. No repeats, with almost 200 movies.
we did that with our cd collection, over 2000 cds and no doubles

I remember those days, thats how I was with baby stuff when we were trying to conceive. Our tiny storage unit was packed with free baby equipment

Oh god, if we still had all our music on physical media it'd be a nightmare. Thankfully we've gone mostly digital, except for cherished albums and my collection of goth/industrial/new wave 12" LPs that I hang as decor.

The BF is home to save me from myself - no fish pies will be constructed here tonight.

This recipe looks really exciting, Vaccinium! I wish I'd been around for the meeting, I've been cooking with almost exclusively fish for the last two weeks and it would have been great to change things up with a bit of Caribbean flair. I can see this pie tasting top-notch. I've done quiches which give you an open-faced fish pie presentation, but using yams as the binder is brilliant. Thanks for the info about scotch bonnets, too---I hadn't known which peppers were big in the Caribbean.

Thanks for the compliments.

I'm actually doing another fish dish this week that has an Argentinian flair. I'll be marinating my fish in a sauce called chimichurri, which is primarily garlic, parsley, vinegar, and hot pepper. Argentinians use it like Americans use ketchup, and it goes rather well with fish.

I'm also going yam crazy this week by pairing pureed white, red, and purple yams along with some thinly sliced, marinated pork tenderloin, and a fig-red wine reduction. Ought to be as colorful as it is tasty.
