I've been getting veggies as a side wherever I can. I admit it's nowhere near as much as I should be having, but I've been trying.

Fruit, yes. We bought a big bag of apples and I take one to work each day, kinda like breakfast. Veggies are hit and miss.

Not sure if you've discussed this before, but growing a garden is a great, cost effective way to have some vegetables through the summer. Plus, gardening can be great exercise.

We are going to grow potatoes and corn this year. I only have a small area for gardening but I hope to expand it when I can afford the tiller and clear some trees.

For me, that's not an option because I rent, not own, my home. I don't really have a good place to grow a garden without tearing up the lawn that is not mine.

We usually just do a few varieties of tomatoes, peppers, and squashes. I don't think we have the space for potatoes or corn, but that would be great. I love fresh sweet corn during the summer.

You can grow a potted garden, we do that with some tomatoes. You could also probably do it with some other vegetables like peppers.

I have the same problem, we are in an apt and only have a tiny concrete patio. I am going to try growing some herbs this year but I don't have the room for veges or fruit

Does everyone keep a daily log to track your progress? I find that helps alot to actually visualize positive results.

I've lost two pant sizes since August but not all of that was from a 'healthy' change. But I no longer drink soda, rarely even drink sweet tea, rink loads of water, take fiber supplements, control how many starches I get, and eat a LOT more veggies.

I liked when I was swimming and my arms were toning up nicely, but the pool's hours do not coincide with my schedule... bah!

The toning in my arms was definitely motivation
