I like the spooky, or supernatural, theme. If I find time to write that is probably what I will aim for. If I did a tattoo one it would be complete fiction. Lol. Mine is meanimgful only as a motivation tool.

Then there isn't much point as the internet idiom usually goes "this is useless without pics".

Since the majority seem to be okay with it, I'll just not write something for that category.
Except we are writers!! LOL describe it so we can see it vividly sort of a challenge if you catch the drift.

Now that I can handle. It's actually a pretty interesting story---both the one on my ankle and the one on my back.

I'll probably stay away from describing the actual tattoos...I'm just really squirrely about that for some reason, but I'll be happy to detail the experience.

Not lame at all!!! For you would have to explain why you have the same tat as another!!! That would be interesting!!
I could do that. I feel like mine don't have much meaning necessarily. I went through a phase where I wanted more tattoos and just got ones I liked. Then I have a few that weren't what I wanted but are instead my poster children for "if you don't get the design you want, at least make sure the artwork is good cuz it's a lot easier to live with a tattoo you don't like/want if it looks good"

That's entirely not true, because if it were then no review without pictures would be useful at all

OK so on to the book portion of our club meeting. I have some answers for you from Gary our EF guru:
Also these questions have been answered: *Will consenting to be in the book mean the authors no longer own the rights to the stories/poems ect.?

- Open / non-exculsive deal. the author is always the author. They are granting us the right to publish in the book, we do not hold any exlusive rights.

*How will we be representing the authors? With a short blurb written by them or some other means?

- This is up to you / club. Fred (big boss) suggests - name/ nickname - half page with picture or no-pic (no avatars) & brief description / bio and URL - Standardize the blurb to fit all authors. my interests, my life, my fantasy standard for everyone 1-2 sentence for each.

*Will we be compensating the authors in any way other than the joy of seeing their work in writing? I am unsure how this is done in the publishing world... my experience is limited to fund raising efforts which this doesn't qualify for.

- Each will get a few copies of the books (# to be determined based on number of contributor and number pressed).

We need to decide if we should have a soft deadline for submissions. I am thinking that we should say by the end of Octber we wil begin the voting process and cose submissions. What do you guys think?

Haha, this guy has done most of my work, and I've brought him some pretty big tattoos on other people too. So I always get a good price. It may not be rock bottom, but for the quality of work I'm getting, I'm more than ok with it.

Airen when is the deadline to submit work for the book? And is there a limit on how many can be submitted?

EXACTLY!!! we need to decide this. I think setting a deadline will get the procrastinators off the fence, as it were. No limit on the submission at this point but more than likely we'll be limiting the number of works in the book itself per author.
