Alan & I have only read books together, but I read lots of stories online too. It really depends on where I find them. If it's a freebie on an author's website, then they're usually pretty good and I'll hunt them out the same as books. I don't read much of the free-for-all erotica sites though because it takes too much time to sort through all the poorly written crap to get to the good stuff.

Sex from a masseuse is one of my old fantasies. Sounds like a great story!

I really liked the cherry blossom one because of the imagery; it was such a sensual story!

That brings up another question. There's a trend now toward erotic romance rather than erotica, although I don't always see much difference. Do you have a preference?

Delilah Devlin actually has a new anthology out for Cleis Press, and we discussed it here near Halloween: Girls Who Bite, Lesbian Vampire Erotica. She has another one coming along, She-Shifters, about, obviously, lesbien shapeshifters. I'm especially excited about that one because I got to do a story about women pirates and a shapeshifting oriental dragon. Yum.

I agree, Ryuson. I also felt it was kind of exotic just based off of how the woman views the whole situation, and that adds a level of hot to a story.

Sacchi, I'll make a private suggestion for an anthology, cause it's something private not about MY fantasies, so I can't say it and leave traces online.
Sounds intriguing, Kytty. I'll watch for it.

I suppose it would depend on why I was reading it. For arousal or to get my engine revving I prefer straight on erotica. The other would feel more like a tease. But I do sometimes feel that regular romance books are lacking and need a bit more sex.

I don't have a preference but I prefer an actual story as opposed to just sex, sex, sex so I guess you would say I lean towards Erotic romance. I really want to read Girls Who Bite.

Shapeshifting!!

Wait, was there a question? Ah yes, hmmm I'm not sure I get the difference between the two genres, maybe the erotic romance involves more intimacy and love than plain erotica. It could be more a sub-genre than anything else.

You know, writing is hot, too. Maybe you should give it a try.

Have you tried any of the Blaze series romances? I haven't read any yet, but a friend told me they were more exciting than the regular mush romances.

I actually don't like drool. Like, I'm fine with saliva on it's own, and I'm fine with it being on my body or my partner's body, but...I don't like the stringiness of drool.

I like the romantic aspect, but with full erotica.
