Sigel read the book before I did actually, He got it in the mail while I was in Canada and brought it with him when he visited. (his words) We have had the whole grit my teeth and endure anal sex and we were wondering if we could turn that around into something we could enjoy together.

We are still working on it but I hope one day to be able to be as enthusiastic as other people I have talked to. It's rough because I have been hurt before with overly enthusiastic thrusting and a weird resistance to using anything other than saliva as lube. My body anticipates pain...

We are still looking for a lube that doesn't irritate Sigel and working on getting my body to relax and just feel. The book has lovely exercizes to help with this and we've found that a vibrator can be amazing for relaxation as it's so totally different from the whole poking and prodding with fingers "warm up".

This was one of the books I was really interested in for the same hoping to learn more about making it better for both of us. I haven't been all that into anal sex just because it's inherently somewhat uncomfortable and I've never been able to get past that to the part where it feels good.

You really should read this and get hubby to read it as well. The anatomy lessons alone will help you to learn to relax. Remembering to keep the sensations focused on what feels good rather than preparation for penetration will help your mind and butt not sabotage each other.

I'm glad you're still trying to make it better for all of you! I think a lot of people give up certain activities when it doesn't work the first time they try it. In the case of anal sex, communication is absolutely crucial.

There must be a lube that will work for ya'll. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I like anal sex SOMETIMES, and the experience varies, not only depending on my interest at the time but also due to my digestion and sometimes even what stage of my cycle I am in. Just remember there is no reason to do it if you aren't into it because too many uncomfortable experiences can ruin it for you altogether.

It's definitely getting bought. I figure even if it doesn't help me like it more (because sometimes we just don't like things), I'll at least have a little bit of extra knowledge

See? That's my problem! I really don't like being fingered there unless it's during PIV sex. I prefer toys...I've been cut with a fingernail and my butt will never forget it.
