Porn Club discussion - Wednesday, March 02nd @ 8pm: The Interns and Almost Heaven

As a bit of a sidetrack... which incarnation of the vampire story do you like best? (Obviously not Twilight )

Maybe more variety. Maybe some couples can be a little rough. That would be good.

I like the direction you're going in, as far as quality - the cinematography, the sound being good, no camera-shake etc... those things are far too often allowed in porn. Loud weird background noises and bad camera-work are a personal pet peeve

I have no real suggestions (causethe movie was GREAT), I think it would be awesome for a Collectors eddition that would include a soundtrack. I sometimes get attached to good music and really would love to have a copy. This may be unrealistic due to cost.

Seconded. The way these movies were done was perfect for what they were supposed to be--romantic and classy. But I would love to see you guys do some kink. Maybe a little spanking, hair-pulling, and that sort of thing.

I'd like to see more wetness on the women's sexy bits. I like seeing body parts glisten in general, but especially genitalia during sex because then I know everything's all lubed up and slippery. I figure it's fine even if I don't see wetness, but sometimes I worry.

I'd also like to see more teasing. I get that passionate sex is intense and sometimes fast, but teasing, precise movements are just as erotic, if not moreso to me. Not that the whole scene should be slow, but to incorporate some elements of teasing at the beginning of the scene or peppered in it would be really hot to me.

Actually, you're doing a damn fine job!

We liked that you could actually understand the dialogue and you gave us a credible plot to follow. We liked the good mix between music and dialogue, no excessive breathing, no loud furniture noises...these are all things we have commented on at other porn club discussions. It was very refreshing to watch not only one but two well done movies!

But since you asked for constructive feedback, the scenes in The Interns were just a little bit too long. One thing I'd like to see more of in porn is for the characters to be more flirty and playful with each other. It make them seem real.

Keep up the good work! My wife and I are looking forward to seeing more of your movies.

I for one would like to see more variation in the positions from scene to scene. I know that some positions are better for the camera than others, but I do not need to see the penetration all the time.

I liked how the scenes in these films were done. Maybe a bit longer, but otherwise, I think they were great.

I second that. But overall they were equally good. Don't see to much to improve on.

ooh, so glad you asked, but i never expect a director to ask for advice like that, so I'm not really prepared to answer in detail.

A few thoughts immediately popping into my head, though: try to make sure scenes within a single movie aren't too similar to each other (in terms of what activities occur, what order they occur in, how scene begins/ends, etc.)

also, and this is probably more difficult, try to judge the right amount of editing to get the scene to its most effective length. Scenes that run too long can come across as boring, even if they would be super exciting if edited down a bit, but scenes that are too short are just plain frustrating. And it's always the scene you like best that's too short, of course. This is impossible, really, as everyone will have a different opinion, so obviously you just have to go with your best judgement, as there can't be any single magic perfect length. Every scene should be judged separately on how long it should be, rather than trying to hit exactly N minutes for every scene.

Agreed! Though these films didn't have the usual issues that others have. Repetition is one of my biggest pet peeves!

And I've noticed from all of these discussions that porn stars are always saying that they act their character up to the point of sex and then they stop acting and just get into the sex as they normally would. Maybe it's just me but I don't love that. Cause then everytime that person has sex, it's the same feeling, tone, personality, etc. I'd love to see the "characters" have sex like they do in mainstream movies. If the character is shy, I'd love to see it. If their wild and passionate, then do that too. It's all about being flexible and able to make it unique and new each time.

Ooh, I'll play off of this response. I'd like to see more scenes that don't include "all the positions" especially in all-girl features. I don't need to see every actor in every position. I like variety. I like when scenes have different moods or elements or positions in them that separate them from the rest in the film. Sometimes scenes run together in my mind and it's hard to appreciate them individually.
