#Workshop - March 9th @ 8pm: All About Affiliate Reports

Contributor: Misfit Momma Misfit Momma
Kris, I have a question about our Traffic reposts (sorry I know this was a bit ago)

I see in my reports that I have traffic and sales incoming from edenfantasys.com. Is this default for offline affiliate sales? I don't think I have posted an affiliate link here, but keep seeing this in my reports.

Well shame on FB I myself am a twitter addicct though I know two tweeps whose account got suspended because of their Avatar (they were not bad at all I still think someone must have reported them) twitter is more open when it comes to adult pictures, links and talk.

Thank you for the response Misfit Momma.

I received four items for review. Where do I put my review for those items to get Review Credit? I don't want to just go to the product and start typing. I assume there is an area to write the review - I have yet to locate it.

If you apply all your commission to EF Orders, those amounts (to my knowledge) don't add to your total commission paid out, so if that's all you do with your commission $ then you won't get a 1099 form sent to you.

However, you would still need to report the purchases on your taxes if you don't pay sales tax on your purchase through EF (and as far as I know, Eden doesn't charge sales tax to anyone except New Jersey state residents/customers).

That's interesting...it'd be a bit strange to have affiliate links on EF.com (and it's kind of frowned upon) so those might be Offline affiliate sales. I'm not sure if Offline Affiliate actions would generate traffic, though. I'll have to think on that one.

If they were assigned to you, they will be under My Account > Review Program > Assignments

Beside each item there is a button for "Write Review"

Ooh, good point. I think it's best not to have a super-explicit avatar on Twitter because that could make people want to report you for spam or abuse. Sexy avatars are nice, though. Just keep it on a classy side

It is strange! Another affiliate on Facebook mentioned that they have the same thing as well.

My affiliate report lists EF as a traffic source as well. Odd.

LOL I spoke too soon, I've got EF as a traffic source on mine, too. I'll have to ask about that. That's strange...

I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS....

Can I change my Widgets and Banners periodically and does my code automatically attach itself to the changes?

Thank you.

Well I have seen more explicit than the ones that got reported but they made have made someone upset with them.

But lucky they wrote back to twitter/change their avi and are still on twitter with the same user name. Funny how the girl is still posting sexy naughty ass pics the guy has a pic of him in a suit. Lol

One thing I wanted to mention was that affiliates who do revivews on their blogs/websites shouldn't feel like the only place they can put affiliate links are in their reviews.

You can put affiliate links in other posts, too, whether they're sexy posts, or just ones that mention sex toys in general. You could even include them in personal posts as long as they make sense.

Yes! You can click on banner links on this page: Banners

...And then get banner codes from them, and they will already have your partner code embedded in the html code.

The same is true for widgets. You can make as many widgets as you like, and the code will already have your partner code in it.

I don't know if this is something that is supposed to be covered here, but can we have some more lingerie specific banners?

So how is everyone feeling? Are you doing okay?

Y'all have been great this evening. I'm really glad you all came to the workshop.

I can definitely pass on suggestions to the banner design team. What kinds of lingerie-themed banners did you have in mind?

For example, would you want ones with people wearing the lingerie, or just the lingerie itself? Would the banner also have a toy (or toys) in it, or just be lingerie?

What kinds of images did you have in mind?

Sorry to bother you but mine says "NO PRODUCTS TO REVIEW YET". I got 4 items through the mail and it said Affiliate on the box. I guess I can't write a review unless the products show up at a later date for some reason? Would you know by chance?

And, that's a wrap! Thanks for coming to this workshop! I hope you had a good time and learned some stuff about Affiliate Reports. I appreciate all feedback on these workshops and on the Affiliate Program features. Feel free to post comments/questions here, or email partners@edenfantasys.com.

I'll be around for a little while longer, I just wanted to say goodnight to people who needed to get going.

It sounds like you'd need to look up the products on Eden, and then click on the "Grab It" button when you're in "Contributor" mode and it'll add to your Assignment Cart.

Then you can visit your Assignment Cart and click on "Write Review."

Well, specifically, I bought a bunch of lingerie to review on my (almost) family friendly site and don't want to use the same lingerie banner for each review.

Preferably without toys or the word sex toys or sex shop. Being worn or not doesn't really matter. I also tend to avoid using the banners with "free shipping" even though most of my readers are in the US... I'm in Canada and shipping isn't free for Canadians.

Yup, I actually grabbed a bunch of products yesterday. Although, according to the rules - I think only ONE item can be designated at a time. I got that part..... thank you much though. I just can't figure out how to put a review in for these 4 items - OH well, guess I just don't. I hope it doesn't reflect negatively going forward on behalf of me reviewing items for them in the future...? I just am at a complete standstill. Thanks for all your help.
Do you have a blog by chance? You seem familiar.

Ahh, I see. Thanks for the details.

We're working on some more "(almost) family friendly" banners so I will pass on the request.
