My biggest regret is that for the first time in 21 years, I did not spend the summer swimming. Work has finally gotten the best of me, and I can no longer be a lifeguard, I have to have grownup jobs.

The pool has always been a place of zen, almost as good as the ocean; and I haven't gotten to go.

I regret that I didn't make it up to the lake more often...but otherwise my summer was fantastic. I made a lot of memories, and most importantly I had an amazing time checking things off my bucket list with my boyfriend. We both experience a lot of loss in this last year, so we decided we'd start crossing things off our lists now, while we are young and healthy!

I had an amazing summer. I might not have done something everyday but the things I did get to do were so rad. the best part was that I got to spend a romantic week in martha's vineyard (never been there before) with my wonderful boyfriend.

and I'm so excited for autumn to start. it's my favorite season for many reasons but, some of those are the weather, bon fires, sweatshirts, halloween, autumn leaves, hot cocoa, caramel apples, apple picking, pumpkin carving, etc.

Summer was a blur and went by way too fast. Best part about it was spending time with the kids.

I regret not going away for my annual shopping trip. I did get to spend alot of great time with my family though, so I guess that made up for it!

I went to sooo many music shows this summer! And the best of all: THE WALL by Roger Waters, outside on the battle fields here... the longest wall never built for this show! AMAZING!!!!!!

My biggest regret this summer is that I had to leave a job (and city) that I love because my contract was finished. It was still an awesome summer, though, because my coworkers held a farewell party for me, I got to see my parents, and I got to go to Tokyo Disney Resort for 4 days to relax after the stress of moving.

I don't really have a summer tradition other than trying to go to an onsen (hotspring) at least once with friends while everyone has free time. [mission accomplished this year!]

I regret not utilizing my time a bit better; the summer usually flies by so quickly. My best summers are usually ones in which I've left the country for >1mo, either to visit family or volunter somewhere topical. Visiting my out-of-the-country family is a tradition, and if we can't during the summer, then we almost always go for winter holidays.

I regret not really going out anywhere or hanging out with friends. I spent far too much time this summer by myself reading, watching tv, or playing video games. I kind of wanted to go away somewhere, but I couldn't afford to take time off and I need to save my vacation time for next spring.

I think the only thing I really regret about this summer is not going on more mini-vacations. We could have skipped up to the mountains for an evening or just up to the lake for an evening by the water.

Last night, after I finished working I took about fifteen minutes and shut all of the lights off, turned off the television and computers and just sat in the glow of the sunset and listened to nothing. The silence was incredibly calming and that's the feeling I get when I'm sitting by the lake. I miss that.

I love summer but it's just so hot here. The only thing I regret not doing this summer is going on a family trip. Finances and schedules did not allow it this year. You only have so much time to spend with your kids before they are grown and gone.

I regret not going to the beach! I usually go every summer except this one. I've been spending my lazy summer days at the bar. ha!

The greatest summer of my life was the time I took a trip to Barbados with a special someone.

I always throw a huge BBQ bash every July and invite my closest family and friends.

I was sick much of it, so there was a lot I missed out on, but I still went on a great getaway.

My favorite summer memory of growing up was bonfires!

I had a good summer. We won a 3 day vacation up in Northern Ireland so that was fun. It wasnt too hot either. It is nice that it is cooling down now. Not a fan of too much sun. I remember spending a month in Japan a few years back and had a headache most of the time from the heat. :-(

I wish that I had spent more time in the garden and less time inside watching tv.

I don't really regret anything I have done this summer, just wish I was out working but such as life. Each summer usually is way different from the last but don't really do vacations or any of that.

I regret not having a social life. But it's been pretty nice having eden in my life. Other than that, not really. Used to go to the beach each year with my brother and grandparents.

I enjoyed my summer without any regrets. Though I wish it wasn't ending. This means it's time to go back to class and work on my thesis.

Didn't get to camping at all... between forest fires here in Colorado and just be king too card hot of a summer.

Best summer was summer before high school senior year. Met a girl from Nebraska and though nothing ever came of it the time we spent together for that summer was special.

I regret not being able to spend more time with my friends and not baking as often as I would have liked.

I suppose I didn't go to the beach quite as often as I would have liked. And I didn't get as tan as I could have, but I didn't do too bad, all things considered.

Usually I had a simple but enjoyable tradition of going early every Saturday & Sunday mornings to the Farmer's Market & Flea Market. I used to do this with my boyfriend before he passed away, then my mom & I would load up on caffeine & go. After we'd hit the mall, I haven't actually done that in a few years, my mom invited me a few times & I regret not going this year. This forum question has really made me realize how much I miss all of these activities & how much my isolation this year really sucked.

When I was a kid, my mom and I would always the same place on vacation. Now she lives there and I visited her this summer. It was great fun!
