Overcharging ramifications?

Contributor: isisandshiva isisandshiva
So i just got my siri, she's so pretty, but anyway it says that it comes without a charge and needs to charge for two hours before use, and that the lights will stay solid when it's fully charged. but after about 15 min mine says it's done charging so i was wondering should I leave it for the two hours or can over charging kill the battery?

Same thing happened with my Siri. I don't know the official answer or details about the battery. But I took mine off as soon as the light indicated and I'll continue to use it until the battery completely drains before recharging it. I'll completely run the battery down a few times before I stop worrying about the longevity of the charge. I figure if the light says it's done, then it's done. But I want to make sure I'm not accidentally shortening the maximum battery life by charging it when I don't need to.

If it's a lithium ion battery you don't have to worry about overcharging, as the charger circuits monitor battery charge and won't overcharge.

OMG, the same thing happened with my Ina! So glad to read that overcharging is not an issue with the lithium ion battery. Thanks!
